Inn Castello di Selvole - Vagliagli, Castelnuovo Berardenga

We stayed seven days. Would have liked better cooking facilities. They only had two gas elements, which took a while to even boil water:( Lovely surroundings. Very difficult to find. But once you get there, its all good. The owner charged me 5 euros to do laundry:( One load mind you. The restaurant never opened while our stay, it was still under construction. We never got to try their wine. It was required to sit and have a wine tasting. Which we didn't have the time for, we were in the area for wedding festivities.

Iniiziamo col dire che il posto è incantevole, ma difficile da raggiungere: mappa poco chiara e lungo tratto di strada sterrata e polverosa che rende l'auto molto sporca. L'appartamento è grazioso ma molti degli infissi delle finestre sono in cattive condizioni e non permettono una adeguata chiusura delle stesse: difatti all'interno abbiamo trovato molti animaletti come millepiedi, vespe, coleotteri, ragni ed altro; la stessa porta d'ingresso era difficile da aprire e chiudere. Ottima la presenza della piscina, ben curata e pulita; le docce annesse emettevano, però, solo acqua molto fredda. La disponibilità del personale è eccellente e il ristorante di proprieta, sito a pochi chilometri cucina in maniera ottima e offre uno sconto e una attenzione particolare ai clienti dell'agriturismo.

This is a beautiful, quiet agriturismo. The girl working at the reception doesn't seem too interested in being very warm and welcoming, but she helps with everything you ask (you just have to come up with the questions on your own). It is a bit tricky to find, but they are good at making sure you have the right driving instructions. I highly recommend this place! Strange that they haven't put out better pictures, they have a nice, big swimming pool, a ping pong table under roof etc...

As a family of two adults and three children(age 5,6 and 10) we enjoyed 4 wonderful days at Castello de Selvole. A beautiful and spectaculare place in Toscana.It is close to Siena, and has the facility and hospitality for a family of five. We highly recommend the wine that they produce on the Castello, and their restaurant is excellent. We will return!!!

The reception in the main building was most of the time unatendend. Restaurant as promised on the web site is not on the premisis but is a 3km walk over a dark gravel road and closed on Monday. The owners are absolute not interested. In the vilage are no shops so it not possible to get some food. I traveled by bicycle so it was not possible to carry all the food with me. An other family travelled by train and they had no food too. I arrived on Saturday with the plannig to visit Siena on Sunday but the hostel shuttle bus is not running on Sundays and a taxi cost 23 euro one way.The shuttle bus is running only 2 times a day.Further there is no public phone and there is no reception for mobile phones. Wine tours? nobody is talking about that.The owners has still a lot to learn about Hospitality and I know were I'm talking about because I am a hostel owner myself.
