Its history dates back to 1210, when the Conti Alberti family from Certaldo, the powerful and influent Lords of the Longobard Elsa Valley, built their castle. This wonderful building was later converted into an elegant Villa. The Conti Alberti family owned this property until the XVII th century. You may still see what remains of the 12th century castle observing the square brick tower and the walls next to the villa. The Chianti Valley surrounds the castle with its soft hills and undulated landscape, the land of historic and worldwide famous Wineries. Within this scenery, the converted barns of the Cabbiavoli Castle offer an ideal accomodation for whoever is looking for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. apartment - double room Cabbiavoli's Azienda Agricola stretches across 115 hectares, four of which are given to the production of wine and seven to the cultivation of olive trees. The Azienda Agricola makes our own production of Chianti Putto called "Fattoria di Cabbiavoli", a red wine made from the red bacca grape, predominantly Sangiovese with a small percentage of Canaiola. which is extremely pleasant and smooth with the fruity bouquet of a young wine. Our olive oil, extra vergine, is a high quality product that is sweet tasting with an aroma of green apple.It is obtained by cold pressing our olives, which come from olive trees of the Correggiolo variety.

The apartments are all equipped with a heating system, a fireplace, VCR and Satellite TV. Each one has its own private open space, with tables and chairs, where you can enjoy the sun till sunset. The kitchen is fully provided with accessories for any need (cooking top, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher). The Agritourism offers its guests a magnificent swimming pool,a bowls field, a table tennis, a trekking route, a barbecue and open-air children's games. Those who like horse-riding can turn to the nearby riding-school Fattoria "il Mignano", where group riding excursions are organized. For those who love sport, tennis courts are available just a few minutes drive from Cabbiavoli, as well as golf courses at Castelfalfi, at fifteen minutes drive. Who loves the recipes of the Tuscan tradition is welcome in the typical homely restaurant, which is walking distance and is partner with the Agritourism. The Factory produces Chianti Putto "Fattoria di Cabbiavoli", a red wine extremely pleasurable and round, and an extra virgin olive oil made by cold-pressing our olives.
