Excellent rural hotel in beautiful surroundings. There was some confusion about our booking, the hotel manager blamed the e-mail system, but frankly I think he just had made a mess of things. Everything was solved to our advantage though, we got a suite for the price of a double room. We stayed at Monnaber Nou in November, make sure that the central heating is turned on in advance. Our room was cold, and it takes ages to warm up a lagre room with thick stone walls. Bathroom was OK, but the bathtub was small and the shower left quite a lot of water on the floor. We had dinner in the restaurant. Nice, old fashioned atmosphere. The experince was, what shall I say, average. Traditional, well-prepared food. We payed around €90 for a three course meal incl. wine. Relaxed atmosphere and very friendly waiters. Perhaps it is worth while to consider half board if you plan to dine in the hotel. Nearest village, Campanet, is about half an hours walk. Other guests we spoke with had chosen to find restaurants there. Excellent breakfast. Due to the windy weather conditions we had to sit inside, but we still had a magnificent wiew over the beautiful landscape. The hotel has both an indoor and and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool is placed on a terrace which must be fantastic place to relax when the weather is nice. Conclusion: A hotel that I would not hestitate to recommend to others.
