Incredible view, pleasant hostess, good room. We were the only ones there and had the use of the guest house to ourselves, hence were able to use the kitchen for dinner. We were given the best breakfast we had in Italy, with an omelette in addition to the usual bread, pastries, cereal, meat and cheese. Only through the courtesy of a passerby were we able to make our arrival known without a cell phone, as there was no working pay phone in the tiny village. We walked up to the place from the car park and rang the bell several times, but it was not heard. The only real problem we had was the unseasonable weather - close to freezing in mid October. There was no heat on and we froze. Not that we cared, but the swimming pool depicted in their brochure is up the hill at another place.

Great place to stay, the furthest we went was Lucca and Abetone we decided city visits will be another trip so many wonderful places to see close by. The welcome was great it was so relaxing fresh grapes and walnuts pity we were too early for mushrooms. Could do with more saucepans and cutlery, otherwise wonderful. We recommend the cookery course in Vico Pancellorum - Buca di Baldabo, 2 chefs with lots of enthusiasm cooked lots and then ate the lot, well nearly - no messing with shopping or visiting markets just cooking.

Pool was cleaned every morning. Location is very quite but beautiful. Perfect to chill. You have to walk uphill for about 10 minutes to egt to your room. Be aware! There is no other way to get there. Luggage will be carried for you.

Posto incantevole, accoglienza eccellente, tranquillità assoluta. Inoltre visto che siamo motociclisti, cucina, panorami e strade assolutamente da provare

The place is magical and words cannot do justice to the simple beauty of the place. It would be nice to have extra information about walks without driving - if some are possible - as it seems such a pity to travel to such a wonderfully remote spot and then have to drive everywhere.

Our stay was fantastic. What a location! The climb from the carpark to our accomodation was a challenge and definitely not for anyone with walking difficulties or young children in buggies. It would have been good to have a kettle with basic tea and coffee provided within the apartment, but other than that it was great. Pool was excellent too!

Everything about this venue exceeded my expectations - the breakfast, the rooms, the hospitality, the view! We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. A couple who were there at the same time as us extended their stay as well. I rated the photographs 9 and everything else 10 as they really dont do the place justice. It is incredibly beautiful and peaceful, and I would recommend Agriturismo Agrilago to anyone wanting a serene, quiet and beautiful place to stay. If you are wanting to explore the surrounding area, it is easiest if you have your own car. Our main purpose though was just to relax and unwind by the pool and take in the views, and we were definately able to do that. Maria and Daniel were both lovely and very helpful, I am already looking forward to my return.

Rather steep access, as the years roll on !! But every help was given by the owners/staff including suitcase porterage. Very small friendly village, the bar opens - sometimes - but offers good value, and tasty food. Agrilago breakfast superb - wide choice, freshly cooked, more than adequate to set you up for the day. More than happy to return as soon as we can

Very nice place, in a town where only 40 persons actually live... It is about 45 minutes away from Lucca historical center, but the drive is very nice (you will also pass the Ponte della Maddalena, very nice and old pont). The staff is very friendly and was reactive to our demands: we were changed room after telling them that we were expecting the bathroom "en suite" - although the bathroom in the original room was "private", you had to go outside the room and could meet people there. So they assigned us another room, which was much nicer although you needed to walk a bit to get to it (and not without effort, as it was higher on the mountain, but it was worth it). As a recommendation, I would specify this on the web page (both bathroom details, and location of the other 2 rooms upside the mountain). Excellent breakfast! Also very good (and cheap) dinner in the nearby (and only) "bar". Recommended!

The trip to the farm at the top of the mountain rivals the car ride to the top of Mt. Washington, New Hamshire. The road which spirals upwards, leading to a magical locale could be difficult to drive in the dark and not as spectacular as during the day. Breakfast was phenominal.

This place is just fantastic. I'd love to go back to Italy just to stay here for another few days. Thanks.

This is one place where the pictures we've seen on venere's website underestimated both the rooms and the surroundings. Especially the stunning view! The sweet hospitality of the owners and staff combined with an excellent breakfast made our trip all the better.
