Fairfield Inn & Suites Washington, DC/Downtown - Washington

The staff at The Red Roof Inn were absolutely amazing. There was this one girl that was on the night shift that was so helpful and friendly that I will never forget her. It's just too bad that I never got her name. If there is anyway of finding out who she is please pass my e-mail address on to her so that I can thank her myself. Your rooms are beautiful, clean, colourful and have all the comforts of home. The first morning that we were there, we had to leave very early to return back to The National Institutes of Health for appointments for my son and I. When we got back to our room around 7:00pm I was so grateful to back to a very clean room with the beds made and our clothes picked up and put away. I felt so guilty that we never had time to do it before we left that morning. My only regret is that we could not tip the staff that had gone above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Travelling to another Country for medical reasons, time and time again, has left us without the means to reward your amazing staff. Thank you so much, Karen, Roger and Rylee Fitzgerald

The hotel overall is great with respect to the rooms and location. However, I was horrified by the amount of waste created at breakfast- plastic cutlery, plastic plates, plastic cups- everything thrown away and wasted. This is terrible for the environment. Also, breakfast was hectic as it was difficult to find a place to sit. Breakfast hours should therefore be extended.
