Nice hotel, very helpful and kind staff and clean, not too spacey room. Excellent breakfast with great choice and fine location near center, but the street itself is not too nice, on the other hand after just one minute you walk at the Moldau! But bathroom not comfortable: not even one bracket or hook to hang up clothes or towels, very slippery floor without any mats and a high, slippery bathtub, not comfortable to step in & out. For a hotel of this class you would expect something better.

There was no mention that the sauna had to be reserved. As a result, we never got to use it, although this was the main reason for booking this hotel. The breakfast was a disappointement and monotonous. The sausages tasted like plastic and the coffee was just terrible! (Thank God that there are so many coffee houses in Prague)

The Hotel is very nice and located at walking distance from Wenceslao square and very close to main Metro and bus stops. The rooms are spacious and tidy. Breakfast is excellent, just a pity it wasn't included in my rate. Good value for money in general for European standard, but on the high side compared to Prague's best deals.

The breakfast was not worth the price. There were never any bacon left, there were a very few sorts of sausages and cheese for the bread. The papricas, tomatoes ang sometimes cucumber were also few, it should have been more of also this. The breakfast wasn't good or tasty at all, you should try to offer continental breakfast.

Very impressed with the hotel, fantastic building, great location in proximity to all the sights, the old town, Jewish quarter, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle etc, everything was walkable. Nice hotel with spacious room, free wifi, and quite good breakfast buffet (additional cost but very reasonable). The price was great. The sights were about a 20 to 25 minute walk away, but there were decent restaurants around the hotel. The room cleanliness was ok, but could have improved a bit (particularly on linens). Had some problems with the shower spraying water all over the bathroom; the adjustable nozzle holder was gone from the shower so to wash hair you had to hand hold the nozzle. Also, given that it was muddy/slushy out, the hotel would have benefited from some strategically placed floor mats throughout the building, potentially one small one in each of the rooms for the wet, muddy shoes. The decor and atmosphere were welcoming; overall good value.

The hotel is near the Ginger Roges house in the art nouveau quarter, and also near the Theatre of Praga and the famous cafe in fornt of the teatre. Easy to reach by from the aeroport: 1 bus plus metro in one hour. Is a 20 minuts by foot from the Old City. Every Praga's attraction is easy reachable by foot. Considering what we paid for other hotels in Prague in the past, this was a bargain, especially without breakfast (we didn't try the breakfast at the hotel since many bakeries nearby will give you breakfast for a quarter of the price, and Cafe Louvre 10-min-walk away is a great place for breakfast if you want class). The location is quite central (walkable to the Old Town if you know your way around, and even walkable to the castle) and well-served by public transport. I'd certainly recommend this hotel. For some reason, the hotel seems especially to expect a Spanish clientele.

As two grey nomads we were very impressed with Eurostars David. The staff were exceptional and the room exceeded our expectations. Clean and comfortable, serviced daily. Best of all you could open windows for fresh air. Took about 15 mins to walk to the Old Town Square but close to trams and the river. Perfect. Great value for money. Highly recommend.

Eurostars David is a nice hotel. All in all, I'd stay at it again. For the most part, the staff speak English and are friendly. It's true that it's a bit far from the Castle District (some might want to take tram 22 to get there); but it's quiet. Everything is relative. It's only about a 20 minute stroll to the Charles Bridge (along the road by the Vltava River); 25 minutes to Wenceslas Square, the National Museum and State Opera; and about 25 minutes to the Old Town Hall. A 10 minute walk across the nearest bridge and you're in the Mala Strana. The room that we had was fairly large and it had the usual amenities (including a safe). The hotel balances price and quality quite well. The available breakfast included types of cheese, bread and rolls, cereal, juice, fruit etc. and provided a good start to a day's walking. The Lemon Leaf restaurant around the corner on Myslikova is a good choice for dinner. There's a small grocery-type store across the street. Some pubs leave a small bag of nuts on their tables and charge you for the nuts regardless of whether you eat them. Or offer a local drink to you at a high price. So, watch out. A boat ride on the Vltava is worth the cost.

The hotel is excellent, 100m from the subway station of line B, nicely renovated without destroying the architecture of the building. Fantastic wooden steps and floors, tasteful bathroom with state-of-the art plumbing. We had a great stay, excellent location, although to see the main the castle is a bit of a walk. we visited all areas walking and enjoyed it. The rooms were quiet and the breakfast was excellent value, some of the best food we had in Prague. The walk to Charles bridge took about 10mins, also the centre square was about 15mins or so. If you get up early enough we walked the Charles bridge just before 6am and there was only 3 people on it, breathtaking. Also use AAA taxis, the cheapest in town.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel in Prague in July and it was a very nice stay. The room was spacious and comfortable and very clean. The front desk staff were polite and helpful and the hotel was conventiently located - less than 5 minute walk from a metro stop and less than 15 minutes walk (at a slow stroll) from old town. In the morning they offer a decent breakfast with also some local dishes.

The room itself was spacious, nicely decorated and well maintained. The included hot breakfast had a wide selection. 5 Star quality room. Comparable to 5 star hotels i've stayed in Sydney. Room was clean & lovely. It was very quite & spacious with a large bed & wardrobe. It was as nice as the pictures! The bathroom was excellent too. Its only one block away from the river & a few blocks from the National Theatre. Only complaint is that I couldnt get any wifi signal in my room on the 5th floor so had to spend any computer time on the second floor. It was fine though becuase the large lounge was comfortable. Oh, also, I wouldnt actually say your 'Fitness Centre' matches its title. Not really much happening in there. Regardless, I was so happy with my stay there i extended it twice & will always check Eurostars rates 1st when considering future hotel reservations. Thanks Ria

We were welcomed by a wonderful receptionist, Marie. She was a great information source. Although we continued to have diffuculty with the key to our room, the Hotel was top of the line. We especially loved the intimate, private sauna facilities, including slippers and a robe. The morning brealfast was good and plentiful. The location was just far enough from the center and had plenty of good eating and drinking establishments nearby. It was also close to the river and a good area for a morning run or walk. (The air is a little thick in the city.) Two thumbs up for this "should be" 5 star facility. Thanks for the great experience.

Hotel was good, but the beds were very uncomfortable; too hard. Blanket was very old and worn; did not keep me warm. Hotel is nice for the money. Offered free wireless but connection was worthless. The hotel should spend more money on the connection and charge a little. Computer in the lobby did not have internet. I asked why - and they said that people would use it! They would sit all day and check email... How about a little sign that limits the amount of time on the lobby computer??? It was very frustrating to be told there is free wireless, and then the connection never works. Welcoming staff very good and helpful. Good breakfast. Room was small; bathroom small but very nice: good towels, supplied and good shower. Nearby tram and metro a couple of blocks away got you very close to city center. Get new beds and bed linen and fix the wireless and the place would be a gem.

Original reservation was to Eurostar David but we were transferred to Eurostar Thalia. Evaluation is concerning Thalia. Hotel was supposed to be 5 stars, but in reality 4 is enough. Specially breakfast was poorly organised even for a 4 star hotel. Most of the time part of the dishes were empty, cups were running out etc. The bar tender was friendly, as also the rest of the personnel, but had no clue what he was doing. 90% of the bar menu was not available. If we had to pay the original price of Thalia, we would have been more disappointed. For the David price this was OK.

Excelente hotel, con una magnífica atención. Muchos de los empleados hablan español. El desayuno estaba muy bien. Puedes llegar andando al centro de praga y tienes una estación de metro cercana además. Volvería allí sin pensarlo!

Excellent hotel. Rooms were huge and very spacious. The bathroom was big. Overall very clean hotel. Also, the hotel is located very conveniently, just about a 15 minute walk from Old Town Square. Very good experience, would definitely go back or stay at the same hotel in a different location in Europe.

L'albergo non si trova nel quartiere stare mesto, ma in nove mesto. Per il resto, tutto come descritto e secondo aspettative.. Forse il personale un po' freddo, ma il calore mediterraneo è un'altra cosa.

Eurostars David is a very good hotel, which is admittedly not right in the centre of the main attractions, but it is within walking distance (A nice walk along the river). The staff was friendly and very efficient. The rooms are lovely and of a contemporary design. If I return to Prague, I will use this hotel.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in and a great deal for the price. The room was immaculate, well-furnished, and extremely nice. The staff were friendly and had no problems during my stay. The only potential knock against it is that there's a small walk to get to restaurants and nightlife, but you can find something in 5 minutes walk and can be at the main square in a little over 15 minutes. Highly recommend.

Amazing hotel with very kind employess and services. Rooms could be a little bit bigger for a 4 star hotel, but for that price i think it's fair. I really suggest. I'll be back for sure...hopely with a better girlfriend ;)

Being in the Eurostar David was a delightful experience - very friendly staff, beautiful composition between old architecture and modern design features & an overall very clean feeling. The price was outstanding for a hotel of this calibre.

Excellent, especially for such a low price. Only criticism: the lobby is a smoking area and really stinks - you want to hold your breath while walking to the lifts.

This is a great hotel for sightseeing in Prague. It's about a ten to fifteen minute walk from the Old Town Square. The hotel itself is lovely. The room is nicer than most rooms I've stayed in in Europe and the price is very competitive. A hotel like this in Paris would probably be closer to 400 to 500 euros a night. The concierge was helpful in getting us taxis and dinner reservations. I definitely would recommend this hotel to someone who is looking to stay in elegant accomodations and does not mind walking a few minutes to the sights.

Eurostars David is a wonderful find in Prague. Everything about the place is wonderful, except that the staff at the reception can be sometime not very helpful. But i would stay at this place again when I am back in Prague. It would also help if there is more than 1 computer in the bussiness center, or at least there should be a notice to limit computer use per person to 15 minutes max, if others are waiting.

I was supposed tio stay at the Davids Hotel. On the morning I arrived, I was transfered to The Thalia Hotel, which was superior and better located. So the process of reservation has not been respected but I had a wonderful stay at the Thalia.

This is an excellent hotel! We were first-timers to Prague, and were impressed by the overall quality and location. If the desk clerk who checked us in was just a little bit cheery, the rating may well have been a 10.0; the poor fellow was grim and gloomy, as if he was getting a speeding ticket. Oh well, no one's perfect. This did not detract in any way from our stay. The room was spacious and well-equipped, the public areas were well attended and spic-and-span, and the location, less than 1 km from the Charles Bridge and Old City Square, could not be beat. We walked to these locations several times and took the Metro to Prague Castle, just a bit further away -- the station was just two blocks from the hotel. The Vltana River is just one block from the front door. We recommend this hotel very highly and will try to stay there in the future if we are in Prague again any time soon.

We found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good. It is a bit outside of the city center but after the first trip to the city center, it does not become very difficult to find your way around. It has a nice mix of modern amenities in a building with historic features.

We stayed for four nights at the Eurostars David in October and had a great time in Prague. The hotel was very clean and the bed very comfortable, very necessary after a long day's sightseeing! The room was soundproof with the windows closed however we like to sleep with the windowns open and had to use ear plugs as it was noisy early in the morning. The breakfasts were more than adequate and the dining room was light and pleasant. The hotel is conveniently situated, its just a short walk to the Charles Bridge and has many restaurants and cafes close by. We would recommend a Thai restaurant called Lemon Leaf excellent food and service (come out of the hotel, turn right and its on the right) an English speaking coffee/bookshop called The Globe (cross the road from the Lemon Leaf and down the side street on the right) and a cafe called The Savoy for mouthwatering cakes (cross the first bridge you come to - before the Charles Bridge - and its on the left hand side. We found entrance fees quite pricey and this pushes the cost of your holiday up and we were disappointed not to see the sights of the Jewish quarter as they were closed due to a Jewish holiday so it is worthwhile checking dates before you go. Overall a great break.

The reception desk staff need a lesson in how to offer service with a smile. why are they so unhappy ? The common room , lounge areas should be non-smoking . Have you not heard that second hand smoke is detrmental to ones health?

This is a great hotel. We were within a 10 minute walk of all the major sites. This hotel offers a unique mix of modern decor coupled with an old building. This could easily be rated a 5 star hotel if they added a few more ammenities. The breakfast was way more than expected. Easy to get to by subway from the railroad station station. Although the hotel signage could be a bit more visible. There is a great little mini-mart on a nearby corner where you can buy small items, drinks, snacks for cheap.

Check in was not possible at 11 a.m. Must wait until 14:00. Top floor room offered was 29º hot!!! They intended to make us wait for air-con repair. Finally they provided us with a smaller but comfortable room at 3rd floor despite of not twin bed as requested in the booking. Breakfast was a bit poor. The taxi service booked by the hotel was not regular company and charged us 800CZK to airport!!!

I was looking for an affordable design hotel for some extra R&R after a business meeting in Prague. This hotel exceeded my epectations. The entire space is new and modern but they maintained a lot of the beautiful details from the original mbuilding. A friend's room looked out to the famous Frank Gehry building. It is comparable to rooms that are twice the price. My only issue was that the front desk did not know how to operate the air conditioning in my room. A little kink that I am sure will get worked out. This will be my first choice the next time I am in Prague.

Although breakfast was included in the internet reservation and anounced in the internet page, and confirmed in the reception at the check in, was charged at a rate of 7 euros per person per day. Was a very strange and rare situation but we were not in the mood for a fight over the 42 Euros that were overcharged in concept for breakfast. Also breakfast was very good but we would had liked the freedom to choose.
