Excellent location near Malaga Centro Alameda (just across street bridge from the exit). Excellent breakfast that included meat (hot and cold), cheese, bread, cereal, fruits, juice and coffee, good value 8 euro each). Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The jacuzzi bathtub was a nice relaxing touch. The staff was helpful and all spoke English. Grocery stores nearby around corner. Fifteen minute walk to Alcazaba. Only downside was that the room lacked wash clothes and an alarm clock. Would stay here again.

Disinterested staff at reception. Room smelled of sewage (room 708). Tried to deny sewage smell by saying the whole building was centrally air-conditioned. Hotel buffet breakfast (at 10am) was only replenished once we asked. Otherwise there was not any cooked food or sliced meat until we requested.

Great Hotel!!!! Price/quality rate amazing. Is closer (10 meters) to a metro station so is excellent to reach the airport or the bus station with a cheap ticket.

The hotel has a perfect site. We took the train from the airport to MALAGA CENTRO ALAMEDA (end station). €1,35. This station is about 50 m from the hotel. Service-minded and nice staff. We asked for a silent room and we really got one. No noise from the street. We are 100% satisfied.

Eurostars Astoria a lovely hotel and I cannot commend it high enough. It's staff could not have been more helpful, the comfort of the room and bed was like home from home. It was extremely clean and the restaurant provided a great breakfast which sets you up for the day. Malaga central station is about 20 yards from the hotel with a direct connection to Malaga Airport for about 1.5 Euros. The hotel is about 5 minutes from Malaga's famous Cathedral and main tourist area. I also thought the hotel prices were great value for money. We had just come from a 4 star hotel in Seville and Eurostars Astoria compared very fabourably. In summary, a very good hotel that will not dissapoint you.

During our 3 weeks trip in France & Spain, Eurostars Astoria Hotel in Málaga was our home for 2 great nights (Aug 2 – Aug 4, 2010). We had a double room for 59€/night on the 4th floor and have chosen this hotel quickly the night before check-in as we needed a place to stay in Málaga and the price and reviews online were quite decent. GOOD: The hotel looks new and comfortable. The reception area is welcoming and the staff spoke a bit of English. The location is pretty good with most sights and beaches within walking distance even though it seems a bit more to the outskirts of the central area. The room was very clean and quite spacious especially the huge bathroom! The bed was very comfortable and the linens were top notch. The bathtub even had jets which were put to good use after the exhausting drive from Alicante with a stopover at La Alhambra in Granada. ;) The AC was very good and the fridge was very useful for our groceries. The room was pretty quiet as it was facing an interior yard shared with an apartment building. BAD: No major complaints; the only unexpected surprise was when we realized that our electronic safe was NOT bolted into anything!!! My wife and I laughed so hard and I even have a picture pretending to sneak it out of the room, but the highlight had to be the answer and reaction we got from the reception with the gentleman shrugging his shoulders and saying that it is what it is….lol. In the end, we did leave our valuables inside the safe as we didn’t really believe that someone will try to sneak this medium sized box out of the hotel. PARKING: It is a bit difficult to find the main entrance of the hotel as the street in the front looks more like a pedestrian walkway. The hotel does not have its own parking, but it does have somewhat of a deal with this nearby private parking lot. The price was 15€/day, but you had to leave your car keys with the attendant who did not speak a word of English.

From the day we came to the day we left we had fun times in this hotel. The jacuzzi is a big plus after a long walk in Malaga. That was the magical thing that kept us going. The reception was really helpful when we asked to go outside of Malaga(Cuerva de Nerja), which they assisted us really good. The hotel was clean and infront of the Contemporary Museum of Malaga. Overall the stay in this hotel was amazing.

This is the perfect accommodation for young people that doen't matter to stay in a very crowded (noisy) square. It is so close to the city center that it won't be necessary to take tram or subway. Downstairs there is a coffeshop and Rembrandtplein has lots of restaurants, pubs and discos. It was perfect!

We were recommended the Eurostars Astoria Hotel by Venere and we were not diappointed. The hotel is central and very handy to get to the bus station. It was only an overnight stop, so we did not make use of breakfast facilities. It was nice and clean and we would certainly consider using the hotel again.

We stayed one night in the hotel in October and chose the hotel because of its proximity to both the station and town centre as we needed to take a train to the airport the next day. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff helpful and polite. The bathroom had the added bonus of a hydromassage bath tub. We thought it very good value for money and would use it again.

I found the hotel to be very nice and in a good location relevant to the historic areas, shopping and site seeing. The room was small by US standards but more than adequate for a short stay. I did not have a car so I can't comment on parking. The staff was courteous and spoke enough English for me to communicate. Recommendations were short and too the point probably due to language differences. Malaga is a great city and I would stay here again.

We booked this hotel 1 day in advance because we decided to come to Malaga one day earlier than planned, and the hotel that we already booked for the next night was to expensive on this date. We paid 59 euros and the price/quality was very good! Everything is clean and there was a nice bath. Also the staff on the front desk where very helpful. It is at walking distance from the trainstation but even closer is a 'subway'station which connects the airport with the coast cities and also stops at the trainstation.

The only problem is that the hotel is some how hard to reach if don't know perflectly the area, since it is inside a semi-pedestrian area with only one lane for hotel guests: but you have to know how to find and to turn into it. Definitely, a much larger and more detailed area map, including one ways and suggested path, would be needed. All the other hotel services were very good, the hotel is very close to the city center, I will certainly go back again if I ever return to Malaga

My room was rather small but very clean, comfortable, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were always pleasant, polite and helpful. Breakfast was a bit expensive for what was available. I have only one negative comment about my stay - for keeping my room for an extra 5 hours I was charged the full overnight rate whereas most other hotels charge either 25% or 50% of the overnight rate.

The hotel was good value for money in March. It is about a 12 minute walk from the Rail & adjacent Bus Station. If unsure of the route, on arrival at the Staition, go to the Tourist Office and get a plan, asking them to mark on the Hotel. We had a nice room with a balcony. The room was reasonably quiet with the windows closed.

This was indeed a highlight. The hotel is ideally located for people willing to stay in Malaga and visit the Costa by public transportation. The train stop is just 100 m off the hotel entrance. The room was very spacious and very quiet.Everything was outstanding. The breakfast buffet (though compared to the room rate with € 9.50 pp a bit on the high side) is absolutely recommandable. A great selection of carefully selected food and drink items awaits the guests and gives them a perfect beginning of the day.

Terrific hotel, great value. The staff were great. We'd left a hat somewhere in Malaga and the staff offered to call the restuarants and shops we stayed at to help us locate it! The room, bathroom, and beds were very clean and to a good standard. This is an ideal hotel to be based at if you want to explore the city of Malaga because it is close to the markets (incl. El Corte Ingles), shops, the train station, bus terminal, the open-air tourist bus. I would definitely stay again.

Besides the fact that the staff didn't show us how to use the room card to enable lights and airconditioning (the thing was behind the curtains so we weren't able to see it!!), the stay was simply perfect at the Astoria Hotel. Very comfortable beds, spacious room, bathtup too small to lay in it, but to sit it's quite comfortable. Down town is within a 5 minutes-walk and the nice beach within a 10 minutes-walk. Breakfast in supplement too expensive, but you find pastelerias with croissants (stycky, which the Spanish eat with fork and knife) and café con leche or Churros con chocolate caliente in down town. Malaga is certanly a very nice city to visit, with a lot of little streets very animated (beware, Thursday evenings are very busy, everybody goes out to have tapas with very good wine). We'd certanly recommend this hotel to our friends and family!

This is the first hotel we stayed in Spain where we can truly say we had a comfortable stay. The staff are pleasant and rooms were very spacious and clean. We asked for a non-smoking room but the room we were given still had that smokey smell to it - even though there were a bunch of no-smoking signs in the room. Nevertheless this was the only hotel among 5 we stayed in during our trip here that offered non-smoking rooms and for that we are grateful. Parking is fairly good - you have to use a garage next to the hotel.

I would have loved to get directions to the hotel on the website, not just an address and a small map. If you are from out of town, it's kind of hard to find the hotel. Other than that, once we found the place, it was a lot better than we expected and quite centrally located too. The breakfast buffet was on the pricy side (9 Euros each), but was excellent.

Although it is very near from a station, it is unclear with a map. I enrich the map from a nearby station and think more that it should appeal. On foot 1 minute is very attractive from the station where access from an airport is convenient. The atmosphere of room of a wooden floor was very good. Morning coffee was delicious.

This was a very nice hotel in a good location in Malaga for getting to the city train and Renfe stations. It was also very close to the main drag in Malaga with shopping, the park, etc. Everything in walking distance. The only problem encountered was no parking available when we arrived and a communication gap such that the staff did not recommend any other places to park. They were very helpful, but did not speak much english. A very nice hotel and a great location though make this a good choice. Good price too.
