Siamo state in questo albergo per la prima volta ci è piaciuto molto e la posizione è veramente strategica. Vicino alla Rambla nel quartire gotico e vicino al quartiere Born dove ci sono ottimi ristoranti, negozi interessanti e soprattutto quartiere meno turistico ma + cool rispetto la Rambla. Metro vicina. Camera comoda, pulita, silenziosa.

We were very impress with the price of the hotel and the service we received from the staff. The location was fantastic and very easy to find. The rooms are a reasonable size; they may be classed as small if you were planning on spending a lot of time in your room. However the bathroom was very spacious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will be sure to return when visiting Barcelona again. Thank you for our stay.

The hotel is conveniently located but beside that absolutely insufficient. The room we had was small under the roof the bed (small to be for two) fitted in the room only just. The only window was part of the ceiling. Furniture, carpet and anything else was old and worn out; the walls so thin you could hear the TV whispering in the next room. The price far too high for such a place.

There were some friendly staff though.When I checked in,the receptionist who was young guy was very unfrinedly.Like"I AM BUSY NOW!PLEASE WAIT"...I cannot believe this.

We've been there for just a weekend so the position was excellent, that's really the only advantage of this hotel, together with the kindness of the employees at the reception. I reserved at this hotel because it was a 4 star hotel in the centre at a very special rate which I'm satisfied about. I wouldn't return there paying more.

were nice hotel with clean and beautiful, but small rooms. price is ok for this quality, but during night it was very loud. we couldn`t sleep to the early morning.

we only had an overnight stay in this hotel but the room was clean and plenty of room and right in the old center of Barcelona with a metro stop less than 50mtrs and a 24hr car park in front.will definitely stay here again

Actually I asked the rate at the reception(106€) but found it is cheaper through Venere(74€), so I booked it on line. The location is really center and the room is quiet at night even the hotel is located on the busy street. And there is free internet service in lobby, it is convenient!

Frindly and helpful staff. The suite is pretty narrow and the cupboard not very spacious. The accommodation not very well suited for many overnights stays; this concerns in particular older people who may spend moore time in the hotel room than average guests. Senior couple.

Hotel is very well located. Rooms are nice and modern. You can hear the tube when you are in the room - but doesn't matter because when coming back to hotel in the late evening/night tube already stopped service. I would choose it again.

Well situated hotel between the Barrio Gothic and Ribeira, couldn't be better actually to soak up the atmosphere of the city. It's located on a main road so easy to find, but make sure to get a room facing the back streets as traffic heavy out front. Staff very helpful and friendly and a nice bar downstairs. The decor of the place is fairly tacky, which doesn't show on the photographs - sort of mock neo classic but it is overall a place with a nice atmosphere.

Ottimo albergo, molto pulito, belle camere molto luminose, bagno grande e con vasca a idromassaggio. La posizione è centralissima, vicinissimo alla Cattedrale, al Barri Gotic e a Carrer de la Princesa dove ci sono tantissimi locali. Sicuramente ci ritornerò la prossima volta che tornerò a Barcellona

There was a bit of a mixup with the price of the breakfast and our daily rate. If you plan on staying here rememeber to talk to them in advance about the breakfast buffet. The rooms are nice but the foyer, elevator and lobby need some renewing. The pictures definitly look better than in person. I believe if you look around for the price you can get a nice place. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help.

Hotel is well situated for walking to many tourst venues. Guidance from staff for resturants etc was excellent. The road noise was only a problem late on Sat night when some noisy revelers passed by. We were satisfied with the stay.

Posizione centrale comodissima per visitare la citta'... l'hotel non rispetta gli standar qualificativi di un 4 stelle,la stanza di dimensione assolutamente "improponibili", ma tranquillissima e pulitissima,il personale molto gentile, nelle vicinanze dell'hotel vi consiglio il ristorante tailers de tapa!!

Aircondition had broken down, so we were offered a room at Cristal Palace instead. The people at Laietan Palace were very helpful in arranging alternative accomodation and the new hotel showed excellent service and quality. My response refers to Cristal Palace.

Hotel accurately described in the web pages. Close to Gothic quarter and easy walking distance to all the central attractions. The hotel is on one of the main roads and can be affected by traffic noise. Air conditioning is available from June 1st until the autumn. Staff all courteous and English speaking. Had a very enjoyable break in Barcelona.

Only with a long discussion we could avoid the extra charge of breakfast. 4. Hotel needs refinishing to be a 4star.

I was a bit annoyed that we asked for twin rooms and only one was available when we arrived. Otherwise the hotel was excellent.

I could not have hoped for a better find! The location was PERFECT! Close to great restaurants, bars, shopping and areas with a local Barcelona vibe. Room Service was delicious and reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff could be a little less noisy in the morning but that is the only slightly negative thing I can say about Laeitana Palace. Thank you!

The room was rather small for a four star hotel, the breakfast room was quite cold and the selection of cooked food limited. On the whole the staff were very helpful and my stay was enjoyable, the location was very good.

Hotel as described. Location good, right by old town. Inevitably being on a main street it is noisy but quiet with windows shut. Only problem was the air conditioning didn't seem to keep the air cool with the windows closed. Bedroom small but bathroom really spacious. Staff very welcoming.

A very nice, fairly quiet hotel in a central location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, we warmly recommend Laietana Palace to everybody!

I thought this was a good 3 star hotel pretending to be a 4 star hotel. The location was very good, the buffet breakfast is very good although a little expensive. The biggest weakness was the bedroom. Although it was clean and had all the advertised features, it had no extra touches or features. Having said all of this we loved Barcelona and would go back at an instant. However, we would not rush to use the Laitena next time.

Overall I would say that I was happy with my stay at the hotel and that I would stay there again. The only negative thing I would say is that the room was a little on the small side.

Nice hotel in good location with excellent breakfasts. Probably akin to a good 3 star as opposed to a 4 star.

On the whole the hotel was very good. When we initially checked in we were given a twin room rather than the double room we requested, but this was changed as soon as we asked to be changed. Hotel reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The hotel was very noisy there was an infrequent rumbling through the hotel from what I can only assume was the lift. If any guests in the adjacent rooms took a shower the sound travelled into your room. Having said this the hotel is in a very old building which has been refurbished into a modern hotel and the noise problems are unavoidable.

Great hotel and great location - it was exactly where we had hoped it would be (sometimes it is difficult to tell the exact location on the map). I felt the hotel was slightly overpriced as breakfast was not included and although our room was nice, it was not big. The maids were slightly over zealous as they tried to clean our rooms at about 9.00 each morning despite the 'do not distrub sign'.

There is no private parking at the hotel, but one at 500m, the breakfast is not include in the price of the room (10.5€/pers) but it was very clean and good welcomming : real well !

The location of Laietana Palace can be recommended especially if you want to explore Barcelona without car. The rooms are new and bathroom facilities are very good, too. Our room was relatively small but comfortable. Make sure you get a room to the back side, there you´ll hear the street noise too, but not as loud as on the front side.

Extremely small room. Air temperature control did not work. Front desk was rude and provided little help. Was charged extra for breakfast without any notification.

The hotel was a 10 minute stroll to the Ramblas past the Catalan Government Square. Located near the Cathedral and the narrow streets of Bario Gotic. The hotel provided room service and on each floor was a coffee machine for the clients usage. The hotel was very clean, rooms cleaned each day and staff were polite. The rumble of the subway that travels under the hotel could be heard but did not disturb our sleep as the subway closed between midnight and the early morning. Ask for a high floor!!! Would definitely visit again.

On initial arrival we were not expected...we were told that venere.com had not confirmed our reservation to the hotel. However, we were told that it would not be a problem, just give them a little time. We accepted a free coffee, then left our bags at the hotel and went for a walk for an hour. On return we were shown to our room, and the rest of the stay was uneventful. It is a clean, comfortable hotel, very well located for the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One drawback only...it was good to be close to a Metro station, however even on the fifth floor the underground train noise/vibration was very obvious !

We enjoyed our stay. We may recommend this hotel, it is located close to the city and the metro. I am sure that we will come back !

When we arrived at the Laietana we were told by the receptionist that they didn't hold a reservation for us. I showed them our confirmation e-mail, but this didn't help as it was only the confirmation from Venere and not from the hotel itself. The problem was that the hotel was fully booked for that night! First we were quite disappointed of course, but luckily the staff were very helpful and tried to find a solution immediately. They then booked us into another hotel which is somehow connected to them - the Crystal Palace - at the same rate, although the roomrates at the Crystal were higher. They also organised and paid for the transfer to the Crystal. That's why my rating above relates to the Crystal Palace.

In general we are very happy with the hotel. High standard, good location and nice staff. The only complaint is that the double-room we had was very small!
