Located in the heart of a Swiss mountain village at the foot of the Matterhorn, the Walliserhof is a Zermatt boutique hotel in the Canton of Valais, Switzerland. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from the train station and the cable cars going up into in the Swiss Alps and the Matterhorn, where you will find snow all year round, making it a paradise for skiers! The Walliserhof Swiss Quality Hotel is built in the style of a typical Valaisan chalet and is fitted with all the latest facilities making it one of the best hotels in Zermatt. By car
From directions: take the highway as far as a Täsch (3 miles/5 km from Zermatt) where you can park and then the shuttle bus to Zermatt. If you drive to Visp, you can park up for free and then carry onto Zermatt by train.
By train
From Brig: take the modern BVZ Zermatt-Bahn train through the rugged and romantic Vispertal Valley to Zermatt. The average journey time is about 1 hour 30 minutes.
