By airplane
From Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX): take the eastbound Loop 202 Exit heading towards Tempe, then continue on going east for approximately 4.5 miles/7.2 km, and watch for the Loop 101 North bound signs. Begin to merge into the far right lanes as you approach the Exit 9 to the Loop 101 Northbound and take Exit 9 for approximately 11 miles/18 km, then take the Cactus Road Exit 40 and proceed west for approximately 2 miles/3.2 km to Scottsdale Road, then turn right on Scottsdale Road and proceed north for approximately 2 miles/3.2 km to the intersection of Butherus Drive and Scottsdale Road, which is also the intersection of Greenway Road and Scottsdale Road (the street name changes to Butherus Drive going east from Scottsdale Road). Turn right and proceed east on Butherus Drive for about 700 yards/600 meters to the end of the street, and you will find the Scottsdale Thunderbird Suites at the end of the street on the right corner.
