The area is renowned for its thermal lake, the biggest one in Europe, (summer temperature 30°C and winter temperature 25°C), and with its healing effects and the mixture of cold and hot volcanic sources it has become a favored wellness holiday destination.

Naturmed Hotel Carbona is located in the Region around Lake Balaton and on Lake Hévíz, offering several wellness, health, and beauty services that conferred it the price of Wellness Hotel of 2005. In fact, it boasts a wide range of therapies and treatments, such as Yumeiho (Japanese), shiatsu, classic massages, plantar reflexology, aromatic massages and much more. It features an ample indoor and an outdoor swimming pool, a natural spa and beauty center, fitness room, tennis courts, sauna, and Jacuzzi, as well as wellness and entertainment programs of different kinds. A medical team is at guests' disposal.
