exterior The brilliant green of the Mediterranean scrub and the crystal blue waters frame this hotel, which bears the same name as the headland on which it stands, positioned between Golfo Stella and Golfo della Lacona.
This breathtaking stretch of coast boasts a myriad of small beaches as well as steep cliff faces that plunge down into the sea below.
The hotel is just a 500m drive uphill from the main road and offers a relaxing holiday in one of the most perfect spots on the island thanks to its fantastic views, its beautiful and tranquil surroundings coupled with the welcoming atmosphere and pleasant staff.

The terrace restaurant, where both the buffet breakfast and dinner with water service are taken, affords breathtaking views.
It is just a short stroll from both the main building and the hotel rooms, along a short path, which opens up into the surrounding gardens and with a couple of steps.
The hotel restaurant offers an "a la carte" menu with both local and national traditional dishes. Mineral water and house wine are included in the price.
Those who prefer to buy from our wine list will be impressed at the fine selection of local wines chosen from only the best vineyards.
There is also a special children’s menu with mineral water included in the price.
The following services are also available on request but are not free of charge: baby-sitting service, booking of excursions and ferries, car and scooter hire.
The beach next to the hotel, Margidore, a mixture of sand and small pebbles, is well equipped with sun loungers and beach umbrellas for rent.
Windsurfs and small boats are available for hire as well as boat moorings.
It can be reached by a footpath (approx 350m) leading directly from the hotel car park to the beach.

Cómo llegar - Capo di Stella

By car
From the North of Italy: from Milano take the A1 motorway, change to the A15 at Parma Ovest to join the A12 Genova-Livorno exit later at Rosignano. Continue on dual-carriageway as far as right-hand sign to " Venturina/Isola d'Elba". Continue on the main road until you reach Piombino Marittima/Portoferraio.
From the North -East: Take the A1 motorway Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno exit later at Rosignano and continue as above.Alternatively: take the S.G.C. (not a motorway but a very good road) Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, exit at Firenze Signa and follow the main road as far as Collesalvetti. At Collesalvetti re-join the motorway and exit at Rosignano, then dual carriageway as above down to Piombino.
From the South: Take the A12 Roma-Grosseto, continue on the main road "the Aurelia": exit at Venturina-Isola d'Elba then follow as above for Piombino.

By train
The train station of Piombino Marittima is 50 meters far to the ferries departures.

By airplane
During the summer Elba is connected by many flights by italian and foreign companies from the following airports: Milano, Zürich, Bern, Friedrichschafen, München. The airport is located in La Pila, approx. 5 km from our hotel.

By public transportation
During summer season car ferries leave from Piombino to Portoferraio almost hourly. There are also a couple of daily ferries for Porto Azzurro and Rio Marina. The shipping companies are Toremar and Moby. The crossing Piombino-Portoferraio takes one hour. Recently a new "fast" boat carrying a limited number of cars is in service. A hydrofoil service (no cars), which arrives only in Portoferraio, takes 35 minutes.
