exterior Hotel Florida exterior Directly opposite the central station and the zoo, Hotel Florida is a central quality hotel in Antwerp, Belgium. This lively city is famous for its medieval old town and its Diamond District, where streets are lined with jewelleries and diamond retailers.

In a family atmosphere you will soon feel at home. If you need to check your emails or find informations, you may use the Internet access at the reception. If you come by car, no need to search for a parking space as the hotel has its own garage. Relax even more by getting a drink at the bar and go sit outside in the flowered courtyard, or in one of the lounges.

Hotel Florida boasts a very central location, which will enable you to easily move around the city centre of Antwerp, but also to travel by train to other Belgian towns like Brussels, Bruges and Gent.

Es lamentable que en un establecimiento te traten como si fuésemos mercancía, aunque su precio sea barato. Así nos sentimos en este hotel. Llegamos y nos adjudicaron una habitación: la 24, situada frente a la estación de ferrocarril. El nauseabundo olor a tabaco casi nos derriba (habíamos pedido expresamente habitación de no fumadores). La habitación, vieja, con muebles decrépitos y rotos, la moqueta con unos manchurrones incalificables, tenía varios ceniceros llenos de colillas que el servicio de limpieza no se había molestado en limpiar. Abro el balcón y, sorpresa. Estaba lleno de botes de cerveza vacíos y con cientos de colillas. Llamo a recepción y les pido que me cambien urgentemente de habitación, pues en esa pocilga no podíamos quedarnos. Enseguida llega una señora del servicio de ¿limpieza? y con cara de asustada, se lleva los ceniceros, los botes y las colillas del balcón. Con nosotros dentro, empieza a rociar con spray ambientador la habitación. Nos trae la llave de la habitación 26. También huele a tabaco, con el mismo mobiliario y, los ceniceros están vacíos. Nos vuelve a descargar un spray antiolores. Decidimos quedarnos en ella. Craxo error. No nos percatamos (era de día) que las luces de la mesilla no funcionaban, que la lámpara del cabecero de la cama estaba a falta de sus dos bombillas, que la única luz de la habitación era una pequeña bombilla que había en el techo, insuficiente para ver con un mínimo confort. El baño tampoco disponía de alumbrado ordinario (solo había un pequeño punto fde luz en el lavabo) la ducha, de tipo teléfono, tenía óxido por todos lados. Daba auténtico ASCO tocarla. No había cortina, con lo que el agua caía al suelo, a pesar del cuidado que pusimos. Al llegar por la noche al hotel y comprobar estas deficiencias, bajé a recepción reclamando cambio de habitación. El conserje de noche, no sabía ni que cara poner, acostumbrado a este lamentable estado del hotel. Nos ofreció cambiar
