Poor soundproofing between rooms. Noise from doors closing along the corridor kept me awake till 1 a.m. Woken by next door's mobile phone ringing at 6 am. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for light sleepers. Check-in: much confusion. Surely we can't be the first family to travel together?(i.e. two rooms booked in the same surname). Checkout: more confusion, was nearly overcharged for breakfast. Breakfast: so-so. Scrambled egg was disappointing. The rooms themselves were very nice, as were the immediate surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful. But this was outweighed by the noise problems - why do so few hotels have proper sound insulation?
