Hotel Derag Livinghotel Grosser Kurfuerst - Berlin

Breakfast too expensive! We were told 12 per Person, that would be ok. We had to pay 16 Euros, too much. Hotel is in a central and quiet area.

A very good hotel. Excellent helpful staff. Very comfortable room with nice beds. But next time I will ask for a room overlooking the canal as the noise from the traffic did wake me up.Right next to the underground station, so it was easy to get around. Some nice walks near hotel on the canals. Good value, will use again.

Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. The relationship between price and quality was excelent.

This was a far more up-scale hotel than I was expecting given the price. It was a real surprise to walk in and realize the quality for my 62 euro/night stay in Berlin Mitte. The hotel was close to the metro, the river, museums, and other areas of interest. So I don't think the location could have been any better. However, I wish there was a better way to get to and from the airport (Tegel), but this may be fixed once the new airport (Brandenberg) opens. The hotel room itself was well furnished, the bathroom luxurious, and the minibar provided with two free bottles of water and two free bottles of beer. The only negative was that beyond 1 hour of free internet per day there was a charge - wifi in hotels should be free! Overall, a great experience.

good position near subway. Food market at 300 meters. Breakfast price expensive ( 16 euro). During 6 nights they never changed the sheets. The room was in comunication with other room by looked door. When body cream was over we asked a new little bottle but we did not get it.

Good room, well equipped, very convenient location with a U Station just in front, good neighbohood, one hour of free wi-fi internet (generally enough). The maintenence of the bathroom was not so good.

Perfect located for visiting mid city of Berlin, friendly atmosphere, nice, clean and quiet rooms.

We were very satisfied with the room, the room service and the breakfast. Lots of sights near by and the Underground across the street. We will recommend Hotel Derag Livinghotel Grosser Kurfuerst, and we will like to stay there another time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. There is a metro stop right outside the hotel that gets you to Alexanderplatz in five minutes which was extremely useful. Main attractions are also a short distance away. There isn't much around the hotel but we didn't find that was too much of a hassle. The hotel was lovely, free beer on arrival and everyday there after!

Good welcome. Upgrade of the double room to a suite and free bottle of beer. The breakfast is worth the cost. Definitely a good stay.

Very nice Hotel at about 1,5 Km from Alexander Plaz (Center), very Spacious room, free minibar (2 bottels of water and 2 beers), Coffee facilities in room, free internet for 1 hour, underground stop at few meters, friendly reception staff. The only thing that I didn't like that thay changed they the linen only once during our stay (8 nights), an additional charge will be requested if you want other fresh ones.

The hotel has an execellent location right in the centre of Berlin and it is so near to the U-Bahn exit. First time in Berlin.

We stayed 2 nights but in a room facing the lobby. No Airco and inadequate fresh-air made sleeping almost impossible, partially because of the heat . An extra fan in the room could not be used because of the excessive noise. Hotel is fine for the rest , but two restless nights during a short break is not helping to relax some ...

The hotel is in a good position in Berlin, and of a high level service and room, expecially related to the price charged for the prepaid room.

The hotel was perfect. The only thing was that the parking garage was too far away. It was a problem to unload the luggage in front of the hotel (too busy). The big problem was the breakfast. There was no place to sit. 15 minutes waiting. Everything was empty: no croissants,no boiled eggs. There was a chef walking around. She said: I cannot help it, but she did nothing for us Very, very bad. We payed for one breafast instead of two, but that was even too much. It's a pity, that it was arranged so bad.

the staff did give us an upgrade for the room, with free beers and water, and it was very nice. Good hotel , i recommend it, and very close at the metro station!

We really enjoyed the hotel. The room was really spacious and clean, but the window handle was broken and the room became too cold during the night even though we had adjusted the temperature dial. they could offer a free wifi. They offers only one hour for free. We enjoyed the welcoming drinks offered.

Very big,clean and silent room. The hotel is in a quiet area but just in front a subway and a bus stop that are close and connected to eastern areas: museums island (you can go walking), Alexander Place, and the best: the young and animated surrounders: Kreuzberg, Prenzalauer Berg.... And one daily hour of free internet ¡¡ Good choice ¡¡

I will recommend this hotel to everyone who goes to Berlin. Very centric, good price, they gave us a Suite instead of double room. The lifts were before reception, so it was very independent... Simply, a 10 score.

We were upgraded to a suite which was extremely spacious and nicely decorated - thank you Derag Hotel! Staff were courteous and helpful with tourist information. Breakfast buffet was good quality and had plenty of choices but the better value breakfast was at Milly's bakery a three minute walk from the hotel.

All info as expected: good price/quality ratio, hotel really very close to U2 U-bahn, very convenient in case of bad weather conditions. Surroundings are interesting. Very complete breakfast. Breakfast location maybe not very comfortable (some tables are in corridor), but anyway decent.

Internet should be free. The hotel should be air conditioned.

Exelente ubicacion para visitar los lugares mas destacados de la ciudad por estar en frente a una estacion de metro y muy cerca de todo. El personal del hotel muy amable. La habitacion espaciosa y muy agradable. El desayuno muy variado sabroso y abundante. Sin dudas lo recomiendo como un lugar calido para hacer turismo.

Good place to stay and very convenient compared to price/value. Restaurant was closed for dinner for two nights we stayed to accomodate big party. Excellent breakfast. 4blocks from main drag but next to sunderground subway. Good taxis.

Nice hotel, but the price is high. It was not possible to rent a bike, even though this was part of their offer on the web page.

In viaggio di piacere con mio marito (sessantenne), mio figlio e mia nuora (trentenni), siamo stati molto soddisfatti del soggiorno, in particolare delle stanze(spaziose, pulite e con bagni moderni) e della prima colazione. Anche il ristorante buono ed economico. Altro elemento positivo, la fermata della Metro all'ingresso dell'albergo e la vicinanza con l'Isola dei Musei

La ubicación del hotel es excelente considerando que se puede caminar a todos lados o tomar el metro, el cual está sólo a 20 metros de la salida del hotel y que nos dejaba cerca de las principales atracciones. Además, desde el aeropuerto de Tegel se puede llegar en bus y metro, tomando alrededor de 35 minutos. Respecto del hotel, las habitaciones son amplias, limpias y cómodas. La única crítica es la costumbre de los alemanes de usar plumones en vez de sábanas y frazadas. El desayuno es muy bueno y completo. El servicio del personal es muy atento y rápido, tanto en recepción como en el desayuno. El único problemas con ellos es que no hablan español. Si este hotel lo colocamos en París, Roma o Londres, tendría que tener 6 estrellas. Definitivamente me volvería a quedar en este hotel y lo recomiendo sin ninguna duda.

Reservé una habitación individual pero en realidad era doble, amplia y con vistas a la calle. Totalmente recomendable.

Lovely hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. They were extremely helpful during our stay and we were able to keep our room beyond the check out time and leave our bags until we were ready to leave for the airport. The area is a little quiet but the U2 underground was right by the hotel,(no noise from it though), so within minutes you can be somewhere lively in the evenings. Buy a Welcome Card that gives you unlimited travel for between 2-3 days. The hotel is in a good location for most of the major sights, would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was pleasant and very clean. I found the area it was in rather dull, although it was central, there wasn't much to do in the evenings. However the U- bahn was right next door and so it was no problem getting into more lively areas. The Markisches museum was almost next door and was very interesting. The scrambled eggs were burned at breakfast. I thought the buffet was adequate but I have had better. The reading lights could have been brighter. Nice bathroom.

We had a very nice three days stay at this hotel. The hotel is well situated, the rooms are spacious and clean and the staff competent and friendly. The only thing to complain about is that the breakfast room is too small. We had to wait twice for 10-15 minutes to have a table.

This is my 5th time to Berlin, I recommend booking stays through Venere and I would stay again in Hotel Derag Hotel & Living Großer Kurfürst.

Very clean room

The hotel was very welcoming, situated in a good location with underground access very close by. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable and the breakfast which was included in the price was excellent. The staff were very helpful and polite. I would certainly go back to this hotel again when i visit Berlin again.

From arrival to departure everything about our stay was excellent. The quality of the food in the restaurant was very good and excellent value. The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. The location was very central with the metro station literally a 30 second walk from the front door. A perfect location to explore Berlin

A metro ride away from the city center, this hotel is only 25 metres from the nearest metro station. The breakfasts were outstanding, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. The hotel staff was very helpful and most had óther language'skills to suit nearly all travellers. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the Derag without reservation.

We enjoyed our stay here - the only negative thing we found was that the rooms were very very hot and that was a little unpleasant. Otherwise we were very happy.

Very enjoyable hotel. Good area, close to museum island (10 minute walk). Lots of space, little kitchenette as well as room service from the Indian restaurant across the street. Will definitely stay here again.

This hotel was very nice. They had a decent fitness center. A good breakfast. It was very clean and the rooms were big and spacious. The location isn't the best, but it's literally steps away from the underground, so that's not a problem at all. It's also near a cheap grocery store if you want to save some money. The beds are very comfortable too.

The hotel is very conveniently located. The underground station is literally across the road, a good selection of restaurants is available within a 10/15 minute walk, and the Unter Den Linden is less than a 10 minute walk. Service was good, and the breakfast excellent. We would have no hesitation in staying there again.

The stay was first rate re the quality of the rooms, the food, the location, and the personnel. I liked it enough that I'm currently in other of their hotels. The only glitch was that the internet wasn't working in the morning, but they refunded the cost of the card. [Internet services at most hotels in Europe (including this one) is vastly over-priced.]
