The hotel Universo & Nord is situated in Cannaregio district, those name date back from the grove of reeds that were located in Lista di Spagna. Lista di Spagna area, nestled between the fabulous chiesa degli Scalzi Baroque church dating back from the 17th century, and chiesa di San Geremia church, belonged to the Spanish embassy. The hotel was in ancient time, a dependence of the embassy, situated a further ahead, near Palazzo Labia one of the most beautiful Venetian building. In 1881, the dependence became the hotel Universo & Nord.

Wir waren 4 Personen in 2 Zimmern. Das eine Zimmer etwas lauter, da es Richtung Calle zeigte, dass andere ruhige Zimmer hatte nur einen Lichtschacht. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Die Lage des Hotels war super, da man sofort an einigen Vaporettestadionen war.

sehr zuvorkommendes Personal,das Hotel etwas abgewirtschaftet(Tapeten und Teppiche) aber sauber,Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend außer Löskaffee aus der Maschiene (fürchterlich), kleinere Mängel wurden sofort behoben,das Hotel selbst liegt zentral so dass man das Gepäck nicht weit schleppen muß.

- Hotel war ok, Zimmer sauber - Frühstück mittelmäßig, - Service ok, - gute zentrale Lage - Zimmer straßenseitig laut, haben dann gegen ein Zimmer hofseitig getauscht -> super leise

Ein gutes einfaches Hotel, sauber, leicht erreichbar, keine Spitzenklasse, aber für 2/3 Übernachtungen ohne große Ansprüche gut geeignet, besonders nah am Bahnhof und Vpapretto

Guests can leave their car in Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma, take vaporetto line 1-82-42-52 and get off at the Ferrovia stop. Straight on, keeping the right side, for about 50 metres, without overtaking the canal.

By train
From Santa Lucia railway station, proceed on the left side, without overtaking the canal.

By airplane
From Venezia-Marco Polo airport, take either a taxi or a bus to Piazzale Roma and follow the aforementioned indications.
