Well located in Pistoias old town. Good base for exploring northern Toscana, within walking distance to the railway station (2,60€ to Florence, e.g., trains running frequently). Two Italians were running the hotel, one reasonably well in English, the other in French. Parking is provided by a permit, which means you are allowed to park the car in certain areas of the old town; nevertheless finding a parking lot may turn out to become a formidable task...( there is some assistance from the hotel-guys...). From highway A11, exit at Pistoia, follow indications to Pistoia Ovest-Abetone for around 1,2 km and exit at Centro. Follow the indications towards city centre Centro, until the round abound at Porta Lucchese, take via Sacconi, Via Puccini and then follow the indictions to hotel Firenze.
