Nimes ist rundum sehenswert und vom Hotel kommt man sehr bequem und schnell in die historische Altstadt. Wer will, kann hier sehr viel entdecken – auch das was nicht im Reiseführer steht. Wenn man am Maison Carrée ist, lohnt ein Blick ins Carrée d'Art. Wer mit dem Bus in die Umgebung fahren will, der sollte auf das Büro der Tourist-Information vertrauen. An den Bushaltestellen, so man die richtige gefunden hat, sind die Informationen mehr als dürftig. Das Hotel war ausgebucht – Familien mit Kindern, Dienstreisende, ältere Ehepaare – und die meisten kamen aus Frankreich. Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt, auch dank des Mini-Kühlschranks im Zimmer. Der Wein für den Abend auf dem Balkon war gut gekühlt.
