- Positive: Rooms are great and staff is helpful. Really close to the airport. - Negative: SHUTTLE SERVICES. First, the airport shuttle. I called the hotel 3 times and had been waiting in the airport for more than 1 hour, then I had to take a Taxi. Second, the "FREE" Port of Miami shuttle. On the hotel website, you can find that the port shuttle is free, but I was told I'd have to pay 10 dollars per person. After complaining and showing them that info, they made it free for me. As I wrote, staff was very helpful at this point (I didn't have any trouble, since it was a website mistake).

The price is good but the location of the hotel is not very good. The hotel doesn't have checkroom so is so annoying for the traveller

IF YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT THE HOTEL’S BAD SERVICE YOU WILL BE THROWN OUT OF THE HOTEL. We had booked “Days Inn” at Miami International Airport Hotel on 7250 N.W. 11th Street, Miami Fl. 33126 two weeks prior to our traveling to Miami Florida. After driving for approximately 4 hours from Orlando Fl. to Miami by car we reached to our destination of above said Hotel on Feb. 13th 2013. When we entered the Lobby of the Hotel we observed that there were few staffs of the Hotel were hanging a portrait on the wall of the lobby. They were very loud and noisy. Anyway, we registered our prebooked room at the Reception counter after filtering through noisy staffs in the lobby and went to our assigned room with our Luggage. After a long drive from Orlando to Miami we were very tired, so my wife turned on the room’s Coffee Machine after pouring in the water and the Coffee grind provided by the Hotel. Few seconds after she turned on the Coffee Machine there was a very bad Fishy smell coming out of the Coffee Machine and smell was everywhere in the Room as if there was some dead creature inside the Coffee Machine. My wife immediately turned off the Coffee Machine and immediately I called the Front Desk and explained the guy on the other end about the Fishy smell coming out of the Coffee Machine. When I was talking to the Front Desk, it was still loud and noisy in the background. Front Desk attendant told me he will send someone with another Coffee machine and no apology was offered. We waited 20 minutes for someone to show up with new Coffee Machine and our craving for Coffee was getting stronger but no one showed up. So I called again the Front Desk. Again no apology for the delay from the guy at the Front Desk. All he said “someone will be there”. Again, we waited for 20 or 25 minutes or so. No one showed up. I called again and the guy at the front desk gave me the same answer “someone will be there” and no apology. I must have called 5 or 6

The Shuttle passed us once without stopping. It may have been full. Then we called hotel multiple times and we were always assured that it would be back in 20 minutes. 90 minutes later it returned to pick us up. Granted they were busy, but the fact is there was not enough shuttle capacity. It is unacceptable to leave guests standing on the side of the Road in MIA waiting with a 20 minute promise. We would have taken a cab had we known. Driver was rude on pickup because he knew he had screwed up. Better yet, we would have picked a different hotel and will on the next visit to MIA.

I would not stay there again. The staff was cool. My room had carpet I was afraid to walk on barefoot. There was chewed gum stuck on the side of the nightstand. There was a plastic flosspick on the nightstand under the phone. Although the room was non smoking, either it wasnt enforced, or the room hadnt been repainted, re carpeted, or perhaps it was the beds, pillow, and or linens. I could detect the smell of cigarettes. I should have realized from the low price that the place had to be in need of major renovation. When the clerk asked me how my stay was when checking out, I told her honestly. She knew it was in need of renovation. I think the place reminded me of one of the nightmares on the hotel impossible show. At least I didnt get bitten by bed bugs.

The included mini-fridge and microwave was nice. Shuttle service was useful. They had free wi-fi and HBO and weekly newspaper. No breakfast, just coffee or tea provided.

hallways were not up to date, but rooms were nice and roomy, bathrooms nice too only complaint was that shuttle pickup for us from airport, we waited an hour, even after calling, driver said oh they did not call me until 10 min ago. another man in check in ahead of us , said he tried calling and they did not answer so he got taxi, he did not have receipt, but they kindly credited him the $12 taxi ride. The desk man said see how busy I am as the phone kept ringing and the lines of people to ck in were behind us. ( only one ckin person at 9 pm) The am shuttle to ship was on time and excellent service for free for two of us.
