The hotel is very basic and my single room was tiny; moreover it is not air conditioned, and in hot weather would be intolerable. It is not significantly cheaper than much more comfortable London hotels I've stayed in.

Excellent location, very close to Paddington station (where you can take the Heathrow Express), easy access to downtown (15 min by tube to the city), good restaurants nearby (including San Marco restaurant, a simple but very good italian, and an Aberdeen Angus restaurant as well), close to Oxford Street and Hyde Park, in apretty quiet street. Pretty clean room, although kind of small (was in a single room). Good breakfast (juices, toasts, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, fruit and coffee/chocolate machine), and friendly staff.

All non-smoking 59 bedrooms are comfortable, tastefully decorated and designed to offer a relaxing ambience.Accommodation amenities include private bathroom, hairdryer, cable TV, direct-dial telephone, wireless (high-speed) Internet access (surcharge), trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities and writing desk. Baby cots are also available upon request.
