We spent two nights at the Crowne Plaza. It was an exceptionally nice hotel, only five minutes away from Malpensa airport. The only drawback is that the hotel in located out in the middle of nowhere in a primarily residential area. We did not have a car, so we basically had to eat at the hotel's restaurant (which was OK). Our room was on the middle floor so it was very quiet. Did not hear any airplane noise. I think if you had a room on the top floor you might hear the airplanes taking off from Malpensa.

The experience I had in this hotel was totally unique amongst the establishments of similar price and (nominal) quality level I have experienced in my lifetime. Staff was either rude or incompetent or both, with special infamity going to the vice-director. The room we were given had overhanging eletrical wires from the A/C and the television, a malfunctioning A/C unit (that could have its temperature changed only from the reception!!), a loud buzzing noise from the electrical switchboard, a below-standard bed in both size and quality, a non-functioning interactive tv, and a bathroom with no bidet and a floor shower which, of course, leaked into the room when used. When I complained with the reception I was told that we had been "unlucky" and that usually they didn't give that room to "normal" customers (it was, we found out, for "special needs" persons), but that they "considered it a room like all others" (why "unlucky", then?). The vice-director gave the same lame excuses the morning after, only more rudely and incompetently: the details are unfortunately too long for this space. Of course he offered no compensation or remedy whatsoever. Don't go there: you might get "unlucky" too...

By car
From Milan, take the A8 motorway, exit at Busto Arsizio-Malpensa. Then take the SS 336 road and exit at Malpensa Terminal 2-Somma Lombardo-Vizzola Ticino. Before Somma Lombardo, take the SP 52 highway and exit at Case Nuove. Then follow the indications for via Ferrarin.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservation must be canceled two days prior to arrival in order to not incur in a charge equal to the first night's stay per room to your credit card. Taxes may apply. Failing to call or show before check-out time after the first night of a reservation will result in cancellation of the remainder of your reservation.
