Rooms were clean and plain. The reception staff was not very friendly. The service in the bar was very poor. The breakfast was nice. Not very impressive overall, but about what we expected for the price. The information about the location was very misleading. We thought we could walk from the train that dropped us at the airport but it was too far. We could not figure out how to get from the airport to the "city center" referred to on the instructions and ended up taking a cab.

The hotel was great, the room was spacious, the bathroom was very large. I was not impressed with the front desk personnel. I am a marriott rewards customer and they gave me little to no welcoming, thank you or anything. The night or morning folks either one were friendly. The bar team and restaurant team were very nice.

This is an overpriced hotel that has seen better days. There was no hot water to take a shower in the morning. The staff was flippantly unconcerned when I complained about it. The map they gave us to the airport was incorrect and resulted in frustration. I would never stay here again, or any other Marriot fro that matter. There are many better accommodations in the area for much less money.

Nice rooms and competent and polite employees, but lousy breakfast buffet - the scrambled eggs were ice cold, the fried roesti potatoes had been fried a few days too long, and the coffee machine broke down...

It's a perfect location if you have an early flight the next morning as it's only 10 minutes from the airport, although right now there is a lot of construction in the area so getting to the airport is very confusing and the road signs are unclear. The hotel is clean and comfortable.

A good hotel 10 minutes from the airport. You don't hear the planes taking off and landing which is a plus and they have a decent breakfast as well.

Staff was most cordial! Several groups of guests needed to leave early for the airport and I was pleased to see 2 vans arrive promptly to make this possible. The library area provided internet access for printing of boarding passes as well as support staff for specific questions. We were pleased to have this arrangement for our last night in Italy.

The only "ick" I would have to say is that the shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel was nowhere to be found, after searching for 1/2 an hour we decided to take a taxi. The rooms are very small and for a hotel in the middle of nowhere, 200Euros is very pricey.

It is a good chance if you need a one night-room very close to the airport. The price is a little high with respects to the offered services. The restaurant is not that good. The only pro is the closeness to the airport.

The hotel was very comfortable. The room was larger than most Italian hotels. We had reserved a triple room but when we got to the room it was only a double so we had to drag our bags to another room once they corrected their error. The restaurant had very goor food for dinner and the breakfast bar was very good. The hotel is very close to the Fumicion airport yet very quiet. The surrounding area was less then desireable.

Surly staff, did not seem interested in assisting us in any way. Frequent guest of Marriott hotels and have never been treated so unprofessionally or carelessly. Not a good representation of Marriott quality. You pay for the shuttle to the airport, the restaurant is worth missing-we walked to a nearby Trattoria and had an excellent meal for 1/5 the cost of the restaurant at the hotel. If you are staying only one night to get flight back to the US, or wherever, stay in Ostia Antica-better rates and nicer surroundings.

My main concern was the high charge for car parking. Other hotels in the same road do not charge, nor do other hotels with a lower room rate in the Rome area.

The Venere listing says: "The Leonardo Da Vinci airport lies only 1 km from the hotel. " WRONG! The reality is the airport is more than 3 km away by car and impossible to reach by foot due to narrow dangerous roads. You have to take a taxi or the hotel van. The hotel has the audacity to charge 6 Euros per person for a ride to the airport (only at certain times) after overcharging for an ant-infested room. The wheelchair lift did not work, and the staff made no attempt to fix it, also the hydraulic step on the shuttle van did not function. A reservation was made thru Venere.com yet when we called ahead to confirm, the hotel never heard of us. The room was full of little ants. The hotel restaurant had the same 3 entrees every night...lamb,tuna,pizza. It was good food, but they obviously don't expect anyone to stay here more than one night. And with good reason...no smart person would ever stay here for more than one night. Very poor value for 180 euros a night. It wasn't near the airport, in fact it wasn't near anything at all.

We are Marriott timeshare owners and always stay at Marriott hotels when we travel. Value for the dollar at this hotel was ridulous. We stayed in very nice small hotels in Rome and Florence which did not approach the price of this hotel and their offerings with service and food quality were much better. I also plan on writing Marriott to tell them how disappointed we were with the Courtyard by Marriott.

Hotel itself is great -- very clean and quiet, with good restaurant. Breakfast (included) is fantastic. Although they do have a shuttle bus between hotel and FCO airport, what they don't tell you is that there is a charge of 6 Euro per person for the airport shuttle. But it is only 5 minutes from the airport, which is very convenient for early morning flight departures.

A good choice for any traveler - business or leisure. The lounge and restaurant were pleasant. I do think the price was a high for a facility intended as a "stop-over" for a flight.

Very Good. But Control the conformity of the internet price vs. the real price with service. E.G. the open parking (is not a garage) is not included, is an extra price. This is a surprise, because You are close to the airport not to ROME city, and no alternatives are available, since you have to pay the extra charge.

Very nice hotel near the airport. Very hard to find, and the way to the airport is awkward if you are driving. We enjoyed the modern conveniences as it was our last night before leaving Italy. It is expensive, and most likely not worth it for us to do again.

The hotel is a bit off the beaten track! It is in a light, industrial area and you have to get a cab (about 15 euro) from the airport. Many cab drivers don't know where it is. When you arrive, book your shuttle reservation for getting back to the airport. You really need a 'reservation'. It was jammed with folks trying to leave at the same time. Only those with 'guaranteed' reservations got on the shuttle and they did bring out several shuttles to accommodate the task. Those without reservations were told they had to wait for the next one--approx. 20 minutes later. Also, please note that the shuttle service is not free as in the states. There was a 6 euro (I think) charge for it. The hotel is clean and very modern. The restaurant had very good food (although the service would be considered slow in the states). Their morning breakfast, included in our rate, was very extensive. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bathrooms are very large and we were able to watch CNN and BBC news (in English).

There is a 6 Euro per person charge for the airport shuttle. Internet is available at 6 Euro per hour. Hotel not immediately adjacent to airport and rather difficult to find when driving. Staff efficient but not especially courteous. OK for price if you are catching a flight out the next morning.

I really expected more from a Marriott Hotel. Basicly, this Hotel is your average Airport Hotel with no fringes. The Restaurant was very expensive with very poor service. I paid $17.50 for a normal sized bowl of soup that was cold. This is more for a business person who just needs somewhere to lay their head for a night.

We were very disappointed that the swimming-pool were closed at 6 p.m., because we were looking forward to a bath, when we arrived at 5.30 p.m. They also had an expensive airport shuttle for a family, because there were no reduced taxes for children.

The airport shuttle was not free..it cost 6 euros per person. We waited at the Rome airport for 25 minutes while the van driver was inside the terminal (the man directing the shuttles advised us of this fact) and then when he returned, he drove so fast that we were thrown about the inside of the cab. Also, an item we had purchased in Florence was broken. One of my traveling companions called him an ass____! Then, the shuttle does not operate until 630am, we had to call a taxi because we had a 705am flight. The wakeup call did not come when requested. The internet was 6 euros per hour and should be complimentary because of the outrageous cost of the rooms. The location is in a terrible area...you cannot venture out for dinner unless you take a taxi. This hotel disappointed me a great deal especially since the hotel we had booked from this website for our arrival in Rome was wonderful.

The description page states airport shuttle. It does not tell you that it is 6 Euros per person to use this shuttle nor does it give the times of the 'pay to ride' shuttle. We had a 700am flight out of Rome and the shuttle service did not begin to operate until 6:30am so we had to hire a cab. We waited for over 20 minutes for the driver to return to his van and then he drove like a mad man trying to make up the time. We were literally tossed around the car and one of the items in my associates carry on luggage was broken. Also, the price included breakfast but again we had to leave so early in the morning we could not eat breakfast (the serving hours started at 7am). For the price of the hotel and having to pay for the shuttle, one would have thought that the internet service would be complimentary as it is in hotels such as the Crowne Plaza but it was 6 Euros an hour to use. Needless to say, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. In fact, I have friends registered there starting on September 18th and I fully intend to encourage them to make a change to their reservation.

Don't spend more than one night in this "like America" hotel. The rate is maximum, the rug is thick and the airport is close. Besides that, the employees are morons and under-trained. If you want to feel in Italy, run to any other place; you'll save cash and get more smiles!

My only bad experience was that I was told I could get ice from the bar tender and he refused and then brought me about ten cubes. I was trying to ice down a bottle of gift champagne and he would not let me use an ice bucket. He was rude so I did not drink or eat at the hotel. I refuse ill treatment and insulting employees.

This hotel is vastly overpriced. The lack of competence of the clerk behind the reception desk was astonishing. I tried to pay for my and my family's stay with my Master Charge Card but the charge did not go through. The clerk responded arrogantly and in a nasty way, as though I was trying to get away with something. My Amex card worked. I later called Master Charge and learned that there was a system error at the hotel and my card was fine. In my many years of having stayed at hotels all over the world, I have never encountered such unprofessional and arrogant public relations. Furthermore, the restaurant at this hotel was dreadful and overpriced. I can get better pasta out of a can from a supermarket.
