The quality of the staff was not very brilliant, apart from one man working at the reception. the lift was broken and the first night the heater off. We were even if the price wasn't very high the service wasn't good.

Correct hotel, but without luxury. Ground floor improved but rooms older and small. The bath is minimum, you must close the door to be comfortable inside. They charge you 2.5€/suitcase if you are before 2 a.m. and want to leave it in the baggage room: unacceptable from my point of view. The price is quite high for the quality they offer.

In Paris for a long weekend and to go to the Prix de l'arc de triomphe. The neighbourhood surrounding this hotel is filthy - the metro station is dangerous and very intimidating. Will not stay in this area again.

We found the staff arrogant and rude, the internet does NOT work properly and the attitude of the hotel is too bad since they use a company called quickspot and couldn't care less. Its not a temporary problem we stayed 6 days and it didn't work reliable the whole time so if you use a smart phone or laptop and need internet find somewhere else. House keeping needs improving. No new soap or glasses in the room. The rooms are tiny but this is not unusual for paris. You have to climb a very high step about 2 normal step hieghts to get into the tiny shower so if you are not very mobile this may be a problem. The sink was blocked and didn't drain.

Lovely hotel with perfect location near Sacre Ceur on Monmartre. The room was nice and the bath clean and tidy. I can only recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stay central, cheap, clean and nice.

A basic hotel, but the rooms are clean, and arranged in pairs with bathrooms in between, so quiet. Plumbing a bit temperamental -- hot water sometimes very slow to come, sometimes with low pressure, sometimes perfect. Breakfast good value for money, with reasonable choice. Very well situated, five minutes' walk from Montmartre, with plenty of reasonable restaurants. Area outside metro station a bit seedy, but seemed quite safe.

Pluses: a quiet place conveniently located for Monmartre and metro, good beds, good sleep (my windows faced a quiet residential inner court), which is not typical for a Paris hotel. Free wi-fi, elevator to all levels, a variety of places to eat around, including McDonald's. Minuses: facilities in poor condition, the sink was blocked for all the three days though the room was cleaned every morning, the heater either overheated or didn't work at all, strangely this did not depend on my manipulations. I am a late riser when on holiday, so all the mornings the maid knocked and tried to get in between 10 and 11 (the chek-out time is 12), which I also found disturbing. Inside the hotel you can't get a mug of hot water (a chargeable coffee-machine in the lounge), the luggage room (to leave the bags after or before you checked in/out) is also charged.

Good location for access to Montmartre and close to Gare du Nord. Reasonable price for this convenience. No frills but clean and comfortable. Our 1st floor front room was noisy in day time when we checked in but noise lessened not too late in the evening and was reasonably late starting the next morning.

Excellent service from the very beginning - got a reply within 2h when asking for a non-smoking room after I made my reservation. Staff was friendly and professional throughout. Had a room on the 5th floor with view to Sacre Coeur (downside: rather low water pressure for shower). Everything was clean and well kept, no frills though (e.g. no water kettle to make tea, no hair dryer etc). Room was quiet during the night, some traffic noise in the morning. Good location: only 1 stop from Gare du Nord, 2 stops from Gare de l'Est. Nice strolls in Montmartre - e.g. to have breakfast in "Les 2 Moulins", the bistro from the "Amelie" film which is a lovely neighbourhood café.

The room was a tad small, but we were there only for two days on our arrival in France and it didn't matter. We were well located for our purposes and our stay was quiet and restful. The staff was helpful and informative. By the way, the breakfast was quite decent too. Thanks to all concerned.

For the price we paid for the room (€70 per night) I really wasn't expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived to a very warm welcome and a basic but spotless room. Surpassed all my expectations. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and the room, while basic had everything we could possibly need. Would definitely stay again!

Nice little hotel in a lively area or Paris. The employees could have been a little bit more helpful I think. But, we found with this hotel our hotel for the next visits, therefor it doesn't matter, if they are helpful or not.

We booked a twin room (in that moment in was the only available, althought we were searching for a double one) in Venere.com for the discounted price of about 76euros per night (October 2009), that it's a very rare price for Paris, especially so close to a touristic area like Montmartre! Everything we found in internet cheaper than this, it was terrible: or too much poor hostel with shared WC, if in touristic areas; or some little hotel that seemed nice, but too far away from everything. The day before to leave, I sent an email to the Hotel asking for a confirmation of my reservation, but they just replied: "You should have and email from Venere.com that confirm", that disappointed me.. but I replied them kindly confirming that I had email from Venere.com. When we arrived to Hotel I was not expecting a pleasant welcoming, but the man at reception was very nice, explained how breakfast service it works, that we would be able to be free day by day to use it or not and to pay in the end, that (surprise) internet wi-fi was free using a special code provided by them (excellent QuickSpot connection) and that we would be able to change our room for a double one on the day after, if it was available. General condition of the hall and (little) public area also impressed us, as it seems a superior class Hotel than we could expect. When we arrived in our room (n. 12), surpise: it was a triple one! They had this room free and they decided to set us there without any extra cost! The room was pretty big and so the bathroom, also if this last was pretty basic.. general conditions of the room instead, confirmed our impressions to be real in a 3 stars. The bad side was that unlucky our room was at 1st floor, just above the main entry of the Hotel... and so it was pretty noise, cause of voice of people but especially during deep night cause of traffic and urban cleaning service!! Usually we don't have any problem about noise and sleeping.. (it continues in the bottom of

A reasonably priced budget chain hotel in a convenient location for visiting Paris sites especially Sacre Coeur. Ideal if your going to be out and about and not spending time at the hotel except to sleep or freshen up. I did not have the breakfast but looking in the basement room in the morning it was crowded and the kind of offering typical of this chain's offering in the States. Getting a coffee & croissant at a nearby cafe was definately better value.

Thew manager of the hotel was excellent-welcoming,knowledgeable and very helpful. The room was tiny but adequate for our needs-the shower in the bathroom was in my mind-dangerous-accsess was restricted-we literally had to climb UP into it-not suitable for an elderly person.

Prices a little expensive but still ok for Paris. The service at the reception was very variable: from great by one guy in the evening to very cold and distant by the lady in the morning. The telephone in the rooms didn't work at times and when you complain they got annoyed... Lots of shops open very late in the surroundings, but the hotel is in a part of town where I think you should be even more careful about your wallet then usually. No mini-fridge in the rooms is always a disadvantage for budget-aware people because you can't keep food and have to go out for meals all the time.

Tired part of town, lot of struggling immigrants - poor folk, one feels for them, but adds stress to your visit. A bit of a haul from a Metro stop with no elevator. Very small room and ANOTHER TINY, LEAKY SHOWER. Getting awfully tired of this.

The Staff were great and the location was wonderful, however the Rooms were very small and the Shower rooms were absolutely tiny. In the shower there was just about enough room to stand up, but not move anywhere. And although the sound from outside was minimal you could hear people in the next rooms just having general conversations. Didn't experience the Breakfast as you had to pay extra for that so we went to a cafe. But you get what you pay for I suppose.

My only disappointment was not being able to leave my window open through the night--daytime temperatures had been high and my room was on ground floor (courtyard side) and without window screens, the entrance of small animals was possible. The Pigalle area was known before I selected this location.

I enjoyed my stay. I was thankful to have a room away from the busy street and the noise. The room was very small but clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. As for Quality vs Price well I don't have anything else to compare it with in Europe, as I realize the standards are quite different from the U.S. but I did not go to Europe to compare, I went to enjoy the differences. I had a great time. Thank you for your help and advice.

THE HOTEL IS GOOD FOR ITS CENTRAL POSITION, 300 METRES FROM THE SACRE-COUR, 800 METRES FROM THE HEART OF PIGALLE. BREAKFAST WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE IT WAS AN EXTRA 8 EUROS PER PERSON. OVERALL I WOULD SAY THE HOTEL WAS STRICTLY FOR SLEEPING AND WASHING, YES I WOULD USE THIS HOTEL AGAIN

The room that we had assigned was a smoking room and there was a very bad smoke stink, so we asked to change room and the receptionist was very kind to move us to a best room (06th floor with a wonderful view) anyway the hotel is located in a very nice and strategic area (close to metro and just 20mins to cdg airport); and has a good quality despite low price. very good and quick service received by "venere.com" staff.
