Friendly & helpful staff; clean rooms; an out-of-the-way but interesting neighbourhood just a short walk to Montmartre and within minutes of the Metro! We had very good meals at the nearby Chez Ginette, where the service was great and the food innovative and very reasonably priced. Just to the north, along Rue Duhesme and streets branching off it, is a great walking area for traiteurs, butchers, bakeries, patiseeries, restaurants: foodie heaven!

Very comfortable and close to the Metro, with just a short trip to the Gare Du Nord, if you're coming via Eurostar. Not so close to the centre of Montmartre, it's easier to use it as a base to use the Metro from. The description is very accurate but my only complaint is over the claim to foreign TV channels. There was only the BBC (out of action for unexplained reasons) and German TV.

The room and the bathroom were very cramped.Everything was a bit grubby round the edges. The staff were helpful and welcoming. Good location for exploring Montmartre, but would not return there.

Nous sommes partis 3 jours à Paris et avons logé une nuit à l'hôtel Lamarck, les deux autres ailleurs. Nous avons regretté ce petit hôtel (lorsque nous étions dans l'autre plus cher et de plus haut standing). Hôtel très bien situé (près du métro + environnement agréable), gentillesse du personnel, petit déjeuner copieux et excellent, petite terasse pour ceux qui veulent, prix sans concurrence! La chambre et salle de bains sont extrêmement petites mais ce n'est pas dérangeant. Le plus dérangeant était le bruit venant de la rue la nuit (mais nous dormions la fenêtre ouverte et sommes d'une région plutôt calme ce qui explique peut-être nos difficultés de sommeil). Nous y retournerions sans hésiter.

Using the venere site maybe the price is lower but the room is a single room presented like double room. This is the only little black poit: there are some too small rooms (with a too little bad and space to move yourself). The position is strategic, the emplyees are kind and professional, the breakfast is abundant and good. There's a garage in front of the hotel. The around area is safe but just a little bit noisy (not during the night).
