The room was already needing to be renovated (a sink tap that was almost impossible to turn on, a shower door that didn't close properly so water would go everywhere, bobby pins in the toilet(??),...). We had a triple room is actually a double bed + an armchair that pulls out as a very uncomfortable "bed" - not a proper bed. The WiFi signal was very weak. We had to stand up at the door to get 1 bar - forget trying to work at the fold down desk. The staff could not help with this matter as it is another company that provides the service (even though it is the hotel who takes your money and claims THEY offer this service). Positives: Great breakfast and location.

Would like to compliment the staff of the Vieux Port Hotel on their helpfullness and friendliness. The hotel was very accessible and well located. The only reason the room scored 9 rather than 10 for cleaniness was due to the fact the walls were a bit grubby at the entrance (needed fresh coat of paint) and also spaciousness lost due to very minimal storage. Hanging space minimal, three open shelves and no drawers - ended up leaving most clothes in suitcase (two adults only). Beds were most comfortable hotel beds I have ever experienced.

I stayed in Hotel All Seasons Nice Vieux Port for 3 nights and one of the staffs was soooooooo unkind. she never smiled. I’ve never seen that unkind hotel staff ever. Our stay there wasn't pleasant at all because of that lady. When I and my friend asked some simple information about the trip in Nice such as bus number and the location of the bus stop near hotel, she didn’t gave us good information even we asked twice. So we spent almost 1 hour to find that bus stop. The location and view was not so good but the room was clean and quiet . Fresh apple and orange was great for breakfast. ;-)

The location is great. The hotel was a short walk from the Nice bus station across Place Garibaldi and a leisurely stroll to Promenade des Anglais through Old Town. Pharmacy, mini market, baguette shop, cafe all within a block if you want to grab a little snack. Hotel offers complimentary breakfast. We booked a room with two double beds to fit four people; one of the beds is just a sofa bed pulled out. The one window we had opens but there's not much of a view. The shower stall in the bathroom has a window to the main room, which was something I've never seen before, but it has blinders you can close for privacy. We only stayed for one night and had no issues with the hotel service. Would stay here again next time.

The air conditioning in the room was very noisy and not very cool - even when on the maximum setting. So the room was always hot. I didn't understand why there was a full-length window with a blind on it in the shower cubicle that looked into the bedroom! I would've preferred a solid wall as normal. The breakfast was good. The rooms were very clean except under the bed (I dropped an earring there). The location is very good to walk to the port, old town, park etc.

There was construction ongoing in the hotel, and there was significant noise from drilling and other machinery. The room had a glass window seperating the shower and toilet from the bedroom! No privacy, only a clear glass window with no curtain or anything! The only service offered by the hotel besides the meager cereal and yogurt breakfast was the EXTREMELY pricey internet on the only lobby computer. Just about everything about this hotel screamed cheap. Yes, it was inexpensive, but I would not reccomend it for leisure travelers, families, or vacations. It is pretty much only good for solo business travelers looking to go as cheaply as possible. I've had profoundly better experiences in hostels.

I have to admit that I was nervous about how bad the hotel was going to be because of the price. However, this wasn't the case at all, for forty euros per night we got a room with a queen and a twin sized bed, which was cleaned every day and free internet access (from someone across the street I think). The bathroom was a little dingy and I wouldn't go for the breakfast (there's quite a few good cafes and bakeries in the area), but overall an excellent stay for the money.

We paid $40 a night for a room with 2 queen size beds. Granted one of the beds was sinking in the middle substantially. No problem. We slept in the other one. Rooms are very large for the price in Europe. The bathroom is very awkward with the pre-fab setup where there is really no seperation between shower and the rest of the bathroom (non functional curtain only). Location is great. Very near the port and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Hotel has very few parking spaces. However, was able to park in the hotels garage next door for 9 euro / day. If you are use to small rooms in 3 star hotels across Europe you will do just fine here with these prices!

I chose this hotel mainly because of its location and the free WiFi in the lobby. The WiFi worked just fine, and the location was excatly what I needed. I felt the price of 40 Euros was absolutely fair. The room was spacious, just the bathroonm was a tiny cubicle, but after reading about that in the comments of other guests, I knew what to expect. The room was clean, but the power plug almost fell off when I disconnected the TV. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed in a double room - it was large with big windows and a rooftop view over Nice. Kind of a modular bathroom, reminded us of a space capsule - it worked well and the handrail and ledge seat in the shower would be good for older guests. Loved the location just up the road from the Port. Excellent value for money!

This hotel offers great value for the price. Helpful staff, clean, modern rooms, flatscreen TV with CNN, elevator, bit of street noise was masked by turning on the fan on the A/C. A/C wasn't stinky like some. Comfortable beds. The bathroom is a little strange -when you shower, the whole bathroom floor gets wet.The drain is under the sink. It's easy walk to the shopping district, promenade, bus station, restaurants and there are 2 grocery stores within the block. It's in a residential area and you really get the feel of the locals. This is the only hotel we'd stay at in Nice for the price.

The bathroom was horrible: all in plastic you feel like being inside of a spaceship; the plastic was old, yellowish with dirty spots on it; it was rather unpleasant to take a shower without slippers as there was water everywhere; the shower curtain sticked to your body, the towels became wet. The room was absolutely empty without even a cupboard. One morning a maid rushed into the room immediately after knocking at the door without waiting for an answer.

The girl at the reception desk was very friendly. The room was actually a triple, though booked and payed a double - the triple is very big, probably doubles are smaller. The windows were to a small street but higher the floor lower the noise, nevertheless was quiet in the night, except for the garbage cleaners that come in the middle of the night. But the widows do a good job in making quiet. The only strange thing is the bathroom which is made from plastic prefab, like in Etap and Formule 1 hotels, with the shower on the wall, without hot tub or shower tub, you shower and splash all over. But at EUR 40 this is acceptable and an excellent raport price/quality for a nice stay in Nice. Also the location is good, only 10 minutes to all attractions (Promenade des Anglais or old town). Payed parking, supplemental, but you get assigned your own parking space for the duration of the stay which is a great feature. You will always have your place reserved. The breakfast is also extra per person. But the breakfast is very recommendable, as it is very good, different from usual French or Italian breakfast of only a croissant, gem and cofee, this has ham, cheese, pate and all other stuff. Very good breakfast.

Spain, Sep 2007

On arrival the receptionist insisted that I pay for my 5-day stay at once (the guy ahead of me in the queue got the same treatment for his one-day stay) as a "management policy". That's in contradiction to the reservation letter I got which said that payment would be at the end of the stay. I protested but no avail (they used my guarantee credit card number!). There was no working wireless internet in the lobby as advertised - every day they claimed it was being mended. I could connect to the paying service fine! There was no TV for the first three days - they said the control units had been robbed by a previous group. After 3 days I gave up asking for one and robbed one from an empty room for myself, with the agreement of the night clerk. There was no soap in the room, ever, throughout the stay (looked like a plastic wall dispenser had been disappeared to me). I'd relied on the wireless internet as advertised and felt severely cheated as I'd based my choice on that. I know Nice well. The corridors to the rooms are long and dark and dingy. If they can't afford to make them look nice, one should ask why. The rooms are much better, thank goodness. Modern and severely ascetic furniture. One can't forget anything there - there's nowhere to lose it! The hotel on the map looks next to the port - it isn't. There is a very long street which it is on the wrong end of, leading to a street, which then leads to a corner of the port. The map makes it look half-way down its street, which looks short on the map. It's a long way in reality. You won't see a boat - just traffic. The hotel is slap next door to a Kyriad hotel which looks much of a muchness. The hotel fronts run on to each other. The other hotel has the corner position - marginally better. The rooms are enormous (for Nice) with a tiny 4-foot square basin/shower/toilet unit en suite. Quite strange. The shower unit works off the sink tap controller - took me a day to figure out how to turn it on. My room looked

We chose this hotel as it was cheap, and there were also many positive reviews written by previous guests. I stayed there together with my wife at room no. 714 for one week in October, and the conditions were as expected; The room/bedsheets/bathroom were clean as we arrived, and throughout our stay. One negative detail was the traffic noise from the streets, as we had the window open all night. (due to hardly any mech. ventilation). We also missed a clothes line for wet beach towels. The breakfast buffet was extra (7 euros p.p.) and consisted of coffee, orange juice, apple juice, bread and rolls, ham, cheese, jam, honey, cereals and sweet cakes. All in all good value in a generally high-priced area.

We were 5 couples traveling to Nice in late May 2006, having confirmed reservation on Comfort Hotel Nice Vieux Port through Venere from early November 2005. I have very good experience with Venere from before, but this time, it was a disaster! - 1 - Stay away from Comfort Hotel Nice Vieux Port! You can not trust them! - 2 - And Venere clearly does not have sufficient power or will to advocate their customers when confronted with a hotel owner who disrespect their customers. Two weeks before our trip to Nice, one of the couple got an e-mail from the hotel owner that they somehow could not accommodate them! They offered to help with a "similar accommodation" as a replacement. Now, this was in the same week as the Monte Carlo GP and the Cannes Festival, so there wern't many decent hotels available in Nice, and we were all transfered to Hotel Nikaia, far away from downtown Nice, behing the railway station - a district which in general is not recommended to walk around after darkness. We even had to pay more than the Venere price (95 euro per night in stead of 90). Very fortunately, there was a recently opened restaurant nearby. But that was closed in Sunday evening. If I knew that this would happen, I would have chosen to go to another place than Nice.

The hotel is very wll located for the Port and Old Town area where the best bars and many restaurants are located. Car parking is available at the hotel for 8 Euros a day, however there is limited availability and you cannot reserve in advance. We parked at the port which was expensive, but the Palais de Justice has parking for 22 Euros a day and there are other similar deals at car parks near the hotel. Overall a good value hotel to stay at, with clean and pleasant rooms.

Overall, this was a good budget-type hotel. The rooms were small, but clean. The location was good--near the Vieux Port and a short walk from the Old City. It is also near one of Nice's train stations (not the main one, but one that many of the coastal trains stop at during the day). I would stay here again. It was a good value and a good hotel.

Hotel is in a decent location and price was competitive. The garage parking (although extra) was convienient, being Nice Fr. The bathroom "pods" are interesting and cause water to run everywhere. Under no circumstances should you ask the front desk clerk for an extra towel. There is only one towel per person assigned to the room and if you need an extra bath towel, foot towel, face towel, or washcloth, the Towel Nazi, at the front desk will insult you. I guess customer service isn't necessarily a goal with the Comfort Inn, in Nice? Aside from this silly towel policy, the staff seemed reasonably helpful.

The hotel was good. The facilities were clean and adequate. Breakfast was excellent with coffee, juice, bread, fruit, yoghurt, and cold cuts and was at the additional charge of €8 per person. Parking was safe in the hotels parking garage at an additional charge of €8 per day. (One must carry luggage up stairs from the parking garage to the hotel lobby.) We had a top floor room and it was quiet and clean. The hotel staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. They were helpful in solving a problem with our French mobile phone. We stayed only 1 night after our trans-Atlantic flight. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would select this hotel again.

This hotel is very good, clean and confort. For the price is the best option this portal offer. The only disadvantage is the location, but it isn't important for a group of friends.

If your car is more than 3 meters long just forget the 7€ per night parking, it will be impossible for you to park your car there.

Gute Wahl, wenn man 1-2 tage Nizza anschauen will.

It was very comfortable, especially the bed, but the bathroom was small and inclined to fill with water after using the shower. The location close to the port and old part of Nice was excellent.

Excellent hotel for a short stay with friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Room was clean and sufficiently spacious for our family of four. Would not hesitate in booking in again.

Their on-site parking cost extra. They were unable to give us two keys to the room (we got 2, but when one card was used, it "cancelled" the other and they had to be reset each time we used them).
