Location great, if travelling with a lot of luggage, as the hotel is just opposite the railway station. Very tiny rooms. Service at the front desk welcoming, but at the breakfast room arrogant and poor. Hotel with no character, no soul in such a beautiful and historical city.

Excellent value for money. POSITION.The hotel is in front of the railway station (probably rough neighborhood late in the night, put we didn't have any problem). THE HOTEL. Part of a larger complex (which includes a residence and a four-star hotel), clean and adequate common spaces. THE ROOM. Large for the price, very clean, good furnishings, efficient air conditioning (vital in Mantua during summer), large and practical bathroom. THE SERVICE. Hotel staff helpful and friendly (they offer free Wi-fi). I advise their bike renting facility (€ 12 a day), since Mantua is small & flat, excellent bike territory. BREAKFAST. Continental, with a local flavour ("torta sbrisolona" available), ham and cheese as well. Were I ever to travel to Mantua again, I'd use this hotel.

The hotel is on a busy street with lots of car traffic. We had a hard time trying to decide how to park our car to unload our luggages. We also had difficulties locating our rooms because the way the hotel has rooms in "300's" on the ground floor, second floor as well as on the fourth floor(elevators doesn't go to fourth floor). The hallways were like a maze, it was very confusion. We finally had to ask the girl at the desk to show us where our rooms were.

it was the first time, but we have no regrets. hotel is very good value for money, and besides, it is really central , being in front of the train station, and very close to historic centre. For some reason hotel was full and management provided us with a four star room.Excellent!!

Very convenient for train users - just opposite the station (that helped us enormously),situated on a busy road but inside the hotel was cosy,welcoming and not noisy at all.The family room (large double bed + 2 singles)was extremely spacious and well arranged.The hotel has several internal courtyards that give it a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was truly Italian. There's only a restaurant for pre-booked large parties within the hotel but across the road to the left there's a lovely restaurant/pizzeria that we used twice. Distance to the main old city centre - cca 10-15 minutes walk (half of it is a pedestrian zone). In the morning of departure we were able to leave our cases in the hotel.Very nice stay and we will certainly come again.

Unfortunately we did not find the staff in any way welcoming on our arrival, nor were they helpful, although garage parking was available we did feel that it was quite expensive. No restaurant facillities available, but the breakfast served in the morning was up to standard

Very kind and helpful staff. Copious and good breakfast. You can take advantage of the opposite railway station. Too much noise during the night in the rooms at the ground zero, due to the front courtyard for hotel guests and the adjacent open bar.

The hotel was clean and within walking distance of the city centre. Breakfast was fine. The walls were paper-thin and we could clearly hear conversations in the next room. Staff were mixed - some pleasant and helpful, others not interested. This hotel is good value for a short stay but I would not recommend it for a long stay due to the thinness of the walls.

A good choice if you want to be close to the train station as well as within walking distance to the town. Very good customer service-- I was charged only for one night even though I had booked for two (I missed my train the night before). Overall, I had a good experience.

Excellent value. Room exactly as advertised. Near the train station but not a dodgy area. About 5-10 minute walk into the historic centre. Breakfast average but in keeping with the low price.

The Hotel is recommended by several guides and internet sites. It is conveniently placed in front of the station, and about 15 min walk to the main touristic sites in Mantova, which is rather small. The room was spacious, with basic fournitures. Anyway it was dirty, floors had not been cleaned and swept, and we found hair and dirt in the toilet. Nobody came to clean it the morning of the second day, which was rather displeasing. The walls were definetely too thin, and we could hear every word of a normal conversation taking place in another room. The staff was very varied: we saw about 12 people at the desk in a 2 days stay, but all of them were invariably not terribly friendly and helpful. It seemed like a rotating staff of unprofessionals. Breakfast was ok.
