Great location, nothing but wonderful food and wine everywhere. If you are looking for the Ritz Carrolton look elsewhere but it's a great hotel for the casual traveler who is there to see the city and not the inside of a hotel room.

An absolutely wonderful stay in an excellent position from which to explore the old town across the Saone and the area between the Saone and the Rhone. Hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast was enjoyable. The bed was one of the best slept in abroad.

This is a very pleasant hotel in an excellent location for visitng Lyon. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the breakfast good and the staff very helpful. The drawbacks are 1 the street it is in, which is busy with traffic, narrow and frequented by certain ladies. However if one approaches it from the river end it is fine 2 our room had no view. It looked onto a well at the bottom of which was a smelly outlet. If one is prepared to keep the windows shut and the curtains drawn it is fine (there is air conditioning) We were very pleased with it and would go there again.

Nice hotel, near the city center but not very near to the metro station. The staff is very nice. We were in Lyon for a congress and is was for the first time. The room we had was small, also the bathroom; the bathroom, in fact the shower, is very modern decorated. I think that the breakfest is a little bit to expensive, 10,50 euro/pers, and is not very rich; you can find a better coffee in Place of Jacobins. Rue du temple is not the nicest street in Lyon but is quiet.

2d stay there. 1st time, I had a basic room; it was fine, but the shower was extremely slippery. This time, I asked for a "privileged" room, which comes with an updated, very nice (small) tiled shower with a separate bathroom. No complaints, great location for convenient access to all the Presque Isle and old city. But it is on a very narrow street: there's no stopping a car in front of it. Also, elevator stops at half floors (stair landings), so those with lots of luggage will not be happy. We were quite happy there. Great value for the price

Clean small hotel in the heart of Lyon. Walking distance to everything. Hard to find -- located on small, one-way, almost alley just steps away from the Saone River. Recommend getting detailed map or just park in central area and walk. Parking is at least a half-block away in various city-managed garages at your own cost. Breakfast was not included but was great value at only 8 Euros.

The hotel has a good location, but was hard to find and a little dicey at night. However, the Sunday farmers market is steps from the hotel and was really excellent. Easy to get to the old part of Lyon from the hotel. Rooms where basic and clean.

Twin Room, 2 people. GREAT location right in the centre of Lyon within walking distance of Vieux Lyon, Perrache etc..For a cheap clean hotel in the centre of Lyon where you use it just for shower and sleep, you really can't go wrong.

We were pleasantly surprised since in one of the travel books it described the hotel being on "a dingy street." We found that the location is very good - walking distance to restaurants, shops and attractions. They are working on upgrading the bathrooms. The only issue we had was parking - had to park in the paid lot across the street and that cost a fortune. Hoping the hotel could have made arrangements with the lot for a validated or discount parking.

I've read the guest comment before my tour about the difficulty to find the hotel. So we got a taxi from the station, and it was really the right way ! Anyway the Hotel is an ideal locatin for the sightseeing! And I forgot some goods in the lobby when I left there, asked to send it to the another hotel.Dear staffs, thank you so much!I received it!Merci!!

The location was great, perfect in fact, right in the old part of downtown. Close to the metro as well. Would stay there again, although the bathroom was tiny, and there isn't much room to walk around in the room. The photos make the rooms look larger than in reality. Ask for a room that overlooks the river. There is a market 1min away on Sundays as well. Overall good place to stay.

Hotel is convenient for the historic centre of Lyon. The staff were all friendly and helpful.Breakfast good for this standard of hotel. The street the hotel is located in is the one drawback .Its narrow and you need to watch out for cars. Also on one afternoon!several streewalkers were in doorways further down the street. They did not bother us but might put off some people.Anyway they were gone by the evening.

The hotels is perfectly suited if you are a tourist in Lyon. Easy walking to all the tourist sites, and great restaurants. The rooms are small, basic and clean. Our friends who were staying on the same booking had a lavatory that was so small that it was almost impossible to sit down in. Entry to and from the shower, which is raised above the bathroom floor, requires a good level of agility and would not be suitable for anyonw who had limited movement. Reception and service were efficient. we reported a problem with the shower wheich was put right that day. Breakfast was adequate.

Stayed 2 days in Lyon. Wished for more. Hotel was easy to find if you use Mapquest or ViaMichelin for road maps and directions. Hotel is situated on a corner with it's entrance on an extremely narrow street. Highly recommend dropping luggage off inside hotel first. Public parking is just across main blvd not more than 200 feet away. Location is great and close to everything. Employees were very helpful and there is Internet connectivity in lobby.

elevator is at half floor, which makes moving heavy luggages difficult. The front street is very small and very busy. We had several lugguages to unload so we had to block the traffic for quite a while. The location is great, close to everything.... !!

The hotel is convenient for both sightseeing and shopping. It is close to a footbridge that leads you to "View Lyon", "rue de la République" where you stroll along the lots of shops, and Place Bellecour. The quality of hotel is better than I expected.

Loved this town, and the hotel was fine. There were prostitutes just outside our door every day at noon, which was more amusing...or sad...than anything else. The street the hotel is on is narrow and cruddy, but actually an excellent location for everything a tourist would want to walk to. I would stay here again, and can recommend it. Very, very flat pillows, ask for more upon checking in. Sit down shower in tub.
