This hotel looks very nice from the outside and in reception, unfortunately that is as far as it goes! The rooms are shabby - mould in the small shower room / ensuite, well worn beds and sheets, shabby furnishings. Radio on the TV was not working, the kettle had a mind of its own. It is about a 10 minute walk from the nearest tube. The elderly receptionist was rude. You should note that a 3 star London hotel is about a 1-2 star anywhere else. Pay £10 - 15 more for a 4 Star it will be worth it. I won’t be staying here again!

Whilst the room was clean, the furnishings were stained, as were the bathroom fittings. Breakfast service was slow and breakfast utensils were hard to come by once they had been taken from the breakfast table.

From Paddington station: on leaving Paddington underground station at Praed Street, turn left and walk up Craven Road for 5/6 minutes. The hotel is on your right hand side.
From Bayswater station: on exiting the station, turn left and at the first traffic light, turn right to Porchester Gardens. Walk till the 3rd intersection and make a right turn to Porchester Terrace.
Walk straight on and you will arrive at a small pedestrian lane, Craven Hill Gardens, on your left-hand side. Cross the small street ahead and you will arrive at the hotel.
From Queensway station: facing Hyde Park, walk to your left along Bayswater Road, until you arrive at Porchester Terrace and down the road, you will find on your right-hand side, a small pedestrian lane leading to Craven Hill Gardens. Cross the small street ahead and you will arrive at the hotel.
