Comfort Inn - Dubai

Very good hotel, low price and good comforts; very good position, kind staff.. the better place in Dubai I have been!

Good value for money if you don't need luxury ambience. Everything in hotel is a little dated (lobby, bathrooms, rooms etc.), however it's very clean. Central A/C worked very well. In room on third floor close to elevators the sound insulation was bad, I got constantly disturbed by doors slamming and people talking in the corridor. Internet access (10 Dhs/hour, in the room only with cable, hotel borrow the cable for free) is extremely slow. Helpful friendly staff, very helpful with directions, internet setup etc. Close to Union subway. If you go by taxi tell the driver that hotel is opposite Rigga road, it helps them to find Hotel. Perfect for russian people, there are russian TV-channels, some staff knows russian, at my stay there were many russian guests. Breakfast is OK, normal buffet selection. At breakfast keep a copy of booking specification so you don't get charged if breakfast was included in price.

Hotel OK. A bit pricey for what you get (no breakfast included) but Dubai is expensive generally. I have no complaints.I find the best way to pass time in Dubai is to visit the City Centre emporium in Deira.My wife shops, whilst I go to the "Winston Churchill " pub at the top of the complex.

I thought the hotel was excellent. The food good, service generally good. The stafff friendly and very helpful. The pool area was pleasant but a little cramped. The one negative for me was the building work going on at the back of the hotel, in particular the concrete pours being conducted at night causing one very bad nights sleep.
