Crown Spa Hotel Scarborough - South Cliff, Scarborough

Staff were quick to help and friendly. We were upgraded to a superior room even though it was a bank holiday weekend! Facilities were great and managed to try out the pool sauna etc. Would recommend.

Excellent hotel,. Very busy on check in at 3pm, however, plenty of reception staff who were very efficient and friendly in offering a speedy check-in. Upgraded to a sea view room which was a pleasant surprise, unfortunately our room was very noisy as it was directly opposite the life shaft.

Having attended a Sunday lunch party at the hotel, my 6yr old son and I then stayed Sun & Mon night (October Half Term) in a seafront twin room, perfectly adequate for our needs as were the facilities. The wardrobe space was limited but unused by us in any event. My son was very excited by the pink/purple lighting in the bathroom which gave it a tranquil feel. The spa area and gym looked really good but I was only able to use the pool with my son being so young which is fair enough (Restricted times when children can use the pool which again is fair enough as there is plenty to do in Scarborough with children!) Majority of guests seemed to be on the older side which creates an air of calm but which also made me feel I had to keep telling my son to quieten down which is a shame when you're on holiday (and he wasn't particularly noisy - it just felt that way because everyone else seemed so quiet!) I paid £140 for the 2 nights on a room only basis which I admit is expensive. It would have been an additional £14.95pp(!) each day to include breakfast so we took our own breakfast items and enjoyed relaxing in our room instead (without the 15% surcharge for room service!) I would stay at the hotel again but would be able to make better use of the facilities if travelling with another adult. This is the first time I have used Venere.com. I found the site very helpful, especially as it provided the best online price!

The Crown Spa is the jewel in the crown of hotels in Scarborough.Both inside and out does not disappoint.The lounge area is contemporary and relaxing and the bedrooms are spacious,ours had a huge king sized bed where my Mam had her best nights sleep in years!My two daughters were thrilled with their four-poster and the pinky,mauve lights in the bathroom.Pool is on the small side but had lovely surroundings.Breakfast was plentiful,cereals toast,preserves,croissants,yoghurts ,etc as well as the cooked choice.We will definitely use the hotel again.The only downside is that it is quite a walk from the lift drop off for the elderly or those with walking difficulties.

This was a one night stay for a business trip, I booked a single room with breakfast for £52 which was excellent value, I didn't use the facailities available. Food was excellent and I enjoyed the stay, Parking wa on the road outside which was a little inconvenient but did not cause a problem.

The hotel facilities were good but the room decor was a little dated. Spa facilities ok but pool is rather small. Breakfast and dining area were nice, modern and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially in spa facilities.
