Guests are spoilt for choice at the Clarion Suites Southern Cross on Harbour Hotel, as they can opt for a spacious suite or homely apartment. To make them even more comfortable, additional beds and cots are also available upon request.
The suites come in either a studio or one-bedroom configuration, the latter ideally suited to longer term guests due its separate lounge and dining area. There is a queen bed in the One Bedroom Suite and a king bed in the Studio Suite. Despite having suite status, both of these have a cooking corner and a mini bar.
The One and Two Bedroom Apartments are even larger, offering guests a real home away from home. Residents can prepare a sumptuous meal in their fully-equipped gourmet kitchen and then dine outside on the balcony or the in the dinning room.
All of the suites and apartments feature a microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities, writing desk, satellite TV, wireless Internet access, AM/FM clock radio and alarm, hair dryer, toaster, iron, ironing board, VCR and microwave proof crockery. However only the suites have a safe and in-room movies.

This hotel is nothing special when it comes to amenities; but as far as location and comfort goes, it's right on the money. Conveniently located between Chinatown and Darling Harbour, you never run out of things to do. And our room was unbelievably quiet, considering we faced the main roads (Harbour and Goulbourn). The only thing that really disappointed me about this stay was the fact that our room phone was broken and never replaced/ fixed regardless of our several complaints.

Excellent location - moments walk to Darling Harbour, Chinatown and George Street shops. Booked a studio room which was spacious, clean and quiet. Excellent value for money considering the location.

There was building work going on next door which meant that we had to leave the hotel and could only stay for one night. We should have been made aware at the time of booking that there is considerable noise ( drilling and thumping noise) due to construction work next door.
How to reach Clarion Suites Southern Cross on Harbour
By air plane
From Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport: take the train from the stations situated directly beneath the International T1 and Domestic T2 and T3 terminals. Tickets can be purchased to and from all stations in the CityRail Network with a direct service between the City Circle Stations (Central, Town Hall, Wynyard, Circular Quay, St James and Museum). You will need to change at Central Station to connect to the wider CityRail Network. Lifts are available at the the city end (front of train) on platform 21 to assist passengers with luggage. From Central Station, Metro Trams can be caught from the top of Central Station to Paddy's Market Station. Proceed North on foot, walking past the Sydney Entertainment Centre. The hotel is located on the corner of Goulburn and Harbour Streets.
