This is a lovely hotel, in perfect surroundings for a stay in Oslo. The atmosphere at the hotel is very nice, and the breakfast area is the best. The hotel is far better than the other 4 stars hotels in the area, as Thon Opera and Oslo Plaza (stayed both plazes this autum).

no shampoo in a ****, rarely seen.. Breakfast service in the room invoiced 90 NOK,very very expensive, moreover considering that the breakfast served in the room was very very and unexpectedly poor (only dry bred+ hot drink)

located smack bang in the center of Oslo so it was plenty of traffic noise on the street but the next to nothing in the hotel. Is an older property which has had a recent tasteful make over.There was a fashion show in the hotel the night we were there and the staff explained there could be a bit of noise from this, and there was but it actually added some buzz to the place rather than it being a problem. Our room was of the highest standards and breakfast was good but nothing special. Would I use the place again. YES

The main problem was that the hotel had no record of my booking, despite my print outs of the Venere booking confirmation. This is something Venere ought to look into as well, perhaps. Cleanliness of the room, especially the bathroom, was also surprisingly poor. The English language version of the TV/hotel facilities menu was not working. The staff came (unnecessarily) at 9 am to change the towels on the morning we were checking out, which was a bit inconvenient. Lots of road works outside the hotel made access a bit of a hazard.

In case of late cancellation or no show penalty (first night stay) will be applied. PLEASE BE INFORMED: From the 30th of April 2007 and for the next 18 months, the bus stop "Jernbanetorget" in front of the hotel will be out of service. The new, most convenient stop will be at Hammersborggata, approx 300 meters behind the hotel. The same stop will be used for passengers leaving and also coming from the airport.
You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 1 day before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
