exterior - entrance
The luxurious and modern Clarion Hotel Neptun is a Copenhagen 4 star hotel right in the heart of Frederiksstaden, a district which is over 250 years old. The hotel is situated in a pedestrian area full of shops, restaurants and bars, near the famous Little Mermaid statue, the Amalienborg Palace, as well as the National Museum of Art.
An ideal starting point for visiting the city, the Clarion Hotel Neptun dates back to 1854 and was a fashionable rendezvous for Bohemian intellectuals and writers. Today, it provides deluxe Copenhagen accommodation for business people as well as holidaymakers, whose rooms often open out into 2 atrium like courtyards, adding glamour to your stay and ensuring peace and quietness.
A complimentary light evening buffet is served in the Gendarmen Restaurant, which includes a hot dish (pasta/meat/fish), vegetables and a salad bar; while coffee, tea and fruit are available 24 hours a day if you fancy a nibble. A free newspaper is available during the week and there are also 2 free Internet Points for you to use. Massages are also available if you are in need of some relaxation too.

We missed flat-tv as most 4-star hotels in the world.

Good Hotel. Good location. We had a "suite" which was really an apartment in a neighboring building. This apartment was on the 5 floor and there was no elevator, which may put some people off. The hotel itself seemed nice. The best part of this hotel though was there was a breakfast and dinner buffet. It was nothing spectacular just meat and cheese and bread and a hot dish of some sort, but if you have ever been to scandinavia you know how much money you save by not going out every meal. Overall a good hotel but I'm sure there are better in Copenhagen perhaps somewhere in between this hotel and city hall.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Competency and friendliness of personnel were excellent. I would stay here again when visiting Copenhagen. Location was perfect for our needs.

Like many hotels: we miss large tea-cups for breakfast. Exellent location, within walking distance to interesting places.

The room was like an small appartment room , not luxurious at all; if anything the quality I would say it was very poor. There was no heating in the room (only a little fan) so i felt very cold over night, and there was not elevator so i had to take my big suitcase 3 floors up. Both heating and elevator are facilities mentioned in your website. Just be aware I was not lodged in the hotel rooms as shown in the Venere website pictures; I was lodged in a nearby hotel appartments with very poor facilities.

Hotel was under renovation so construction materials were everywhere. While in shower someone entered to exchange chairs. Hopefully, things will be better in future. But, I should have been warned. Great location within walking distance of Opera House and Little Mermaid.

One night stay at this very good hotel close to Nyhavn and Stroget. Excellent situated in the middle of Copenhagen with walking distance to the main sights. No hotel parking, however no big problem to find outside, but remember to pay. The fine is expensive and the parking guards are fast.... Big room (junior suite including a lot of facilities like bath thube, mini kitchen, fridge etc) to excellent price. Breakfast buffet included with good taste and selection. Nice and correct staff, however some waiting for check-out due to only one person in the reception. Would for sure come back and also recommend the hotel to everybody.

Perfect location, near Nyhavn and Amalienborg, or Ströget. Quiet area, but only 2 min. walk to "everything". Nice breakfast, but the breakfast area is to small to all the guest, so stay up early (or late) to get a table. The best hotel I have had in Copenhagen in years!

The room (superiour(!) single) was extremely small - no idea what kind of cabinet the "standard" is. Different from what the webpage said, breakfeast was not included.

Location with Nyhavn district only a block away, was very good. My room was an attic-like charming single bed room, would have been better if the noise of the elevator going up and down did not bother me all night. Glad I had sleeping pills. At this price setting, I would expect inclusion of breakfast and this was a dissapointment. Reception desk staff lacked knowlege of public transportation. Not sure how often the hotel stars are reviewed, questionable whether this hotel deserves four stars.

I was disappointment that we did not receive clean drinking glasses every day. Maybe they are trying to save money but I think it is cheap. Location was okay. Probably would not stay at this hotel again.

The property is overall. But beware that breakfast is not included in the price and you have to pay 125 DKK for it. The Venere.com website indicates that the room price is WITH breakfast. I ended paying extra 1000DKK for it !

Location, location, location! Nyhavn is just around the corner. Unfortunately two of our rooms smelled heavily of smoke, hardly any room to put your bags, be careful when turning around as you might knock over some lampshades. Noise level: You can hear your neighbours a little too well and the first floor rooms give directly onto the road. Bedding was excellent though, friendly people, good breakfast and the restaurant Gendarmen next door was a very pleasant experience. Bathrooms might need some brush-up! Price-relation still good.
