Hotel Boscolo Exedra - Milan

Location is perfect: few steps to the Opera, Duomo and shopping areas. The rooms are clean and generally ok, BUT with very small wadrobe and EXTREMELY NOISY!! No carpets in the corridor - at least on on the 3rd floor and the walls seem to be of cartoon, you can hear everything...

Overall - I would avoid this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. It is overpriced with dirty rooms, expensive optional extras that should be included and rude indifferent unhelpful staff. We were forced to change rooms at 10:30pm when the shower drain blocked and started to flood the bathroom. The staff were not helpful or responsive and made the issue worse, particularly the duty manager. Both rooms were dirty with marks on the bed, furniture and walls, coffee rings on furniture, dust on the floors and the shower floor was disgusting in both rooms. Don't bother asking for WiFi, it is $30+ for 24 hours and could only be accessed in the lobby. Breakfast was also available at a ridiculous price, we didn't bother. The rooms were both large, well designed and very modern, but honesty don't bother, it is the worst value hotel we have ever stayed at.

Great design-hotel, splendidly located in the heart of the shopping area. Some of Milans' great tourist sites such as the Teatro alla Scala, Duomo and Galleria V. Emanuele are just around the corner. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Easy to get there by car, and the hotel staff can take care of the parking. Breakfast does not come cheap, but it contains all one needs to start the day. Beds are comfortable and a good night rest is assured. My wife and I will stay here again during our next visits.

I was assigned a queen room, I asked for a twin bed - I was traveling with my daughter- and the staff at the reception said it was impossible without even checking if there were any twin rooms available. Fortunately his boss had heard my request and checked himself and finally I got the twin room. This type of bad service is unforgivable for a so-called five star hotel. All the staff has an attitude. If you are looking for good service, dont even bother going to Boscolo, you wont have it! The hotel may be trendy but it is highly overrated. Go to the Straf hotel instead, better prices and just as cool design wise!
