Surprisingly, if you live the Vegan/Vegetarian lifestyle, there are a number of tasty opportunities that you can take advantage of while vacationing in the city. We’ve listed our top recommendations below in the hopes that you will have a chance to experience at least a copy of these dining venues.

Raw 42 – a unique raw food restaurant that features a unique menu comprised of Organic, Vegan, and Western entrées. There is also a juice bar and a decent take-out menu to take advantage of as well. This was the first restaurant of its kind in Denmark and operates 7 days a week – Monday through Friday from 8 am until 8 pm, Saturdays from 9 am until 6 pm, and Sundays from 10 am until 6 pm.

Ambrosias Have – a buffet style restaurant featuring Ayurvedic and Indian cuisine and located in the Natha Yoga center. It is open daily to the public from noon to 3 pm and then for dinner from 5 to 10 pm. Be aware that they do not serve alcohol at this establishment.

Café N – a great place for combination fare featuring Danish and Western cuisine that is Lacto, Ovo, and Vegan-friendly. This is a combination café and coffee shop that also features a great selection of organic beers for those of you who are interested in that type of beverage. They also serve wine and have a juice bar.

Den Gronne Kaelder (the Green Cellar) – one of Copenhagen’s best veggie restaurants, it features an international menu of entrées that are Lacto, Ovo, and Vegan-friendly as well as offering a decent beer and wine list. The main featured dishes and salads change daily so you will never eat the same thing twice. There is a take-out menu as well. The Green Cellar’s atmosphere is casual and smoking is not allowed. They are closed on Sundays but the other 6 days of the week you can eat there between 11 am and 11 pm.

Morganstedet – the best Vegetarian fast food joint in Copenhagen is Morganstedet with its Lacto and Vegan-friendly menu of organically produced foods. It is run by mostly the younger crowd but don’t let that discourage you because the staff is excellent and so is the service. However, their menu is limited and features only 2 hot dishes and 5 to 6 different salads to choose from. Additionally, this is a cash-only establishment.
