Travel Blogs, Wine Districts by Bike in USA

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

As always, on our weekly Travel Picks Friday Column we try to find the best news, stories and travel resources to make your life easier. This week we want to recommend some blogs in particular that we found useful and interesting.

TripHunter is a new website that aim to hack the world of travel. You’ll find tips, tricks, shortcuts, suggestions and recommendations from around the web, as well as from their own team of intrepid travelers. They work with industry insiders to demystify airline pricing, hotel booking and availability, frequent flier programs, and travel search engines. In the very near future a new City Tips feature will be available, where you can find recommendations that your average tourist book hasn’t even heard of.

A Dangerous Business is a great blog that perfectly embraces the spirit of its main quote “”It’s a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and, if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no telling where you might get swept off to.” (J.R.R. Tolkien). Useful travel tips and photos and a striking passion for travel.

Eye Prefer Paris Tour shows clients the offbeat, insiders Paris they never usually see on their own. The walking tours are private and customized to the client’s interests and feature the best areas of the city including the Marais, the specialty, St. Germain des Pres, Latin Quarter, and Montmartre. Also checkout their cool and interesting blog where many of the places that are written about are on the tours.
Finally, last but not least, Cheapest Destination Blog has published a guide to “Wine Districts by Bicycle in the USA“, which we loved since it mixes our passion for green travel! :)
