One of London’s most famous entertainment venues since its initial opening in 1932 is the Hammersmith Apollo or more currently referred to as the HMV Hammersmith Apollo. It was originally named the Gaumont Palace and currently has a seating capacity for 3,632 patrons and a standing capacity of 5,039. In 1962, it was renamed the Hammersmith Odeon and was again renamed as the HMV Hammersmith Apollo by the HMV Group in 2010 after they had taken over the facility.
