This former beer fermentation plant in the St. James’s Gate Brewery, Dublin was converted into one of the leading Irish tourist attractions in 2000. The historic building, constructed in the Chicago school of architecture style, resembles a huge pint glass that can hold more than fourteen million pints of the beer. When visiting Dublin, the capital of Ireland, there are many sights worth to visit. Travelers can find many attractions all around the city. It is clever to buy a hop on and off bus ticket to explore the city. The bus stops at the biggest tourist spots of the city, like the National Museum or National Gallery. It is good to know that the city centre is relatively small and can be easily explored by foot. Dublin is divided by the River Liffey, on the north side a shopping area can be found. All shoppers should note O’Connell Street, Grafton Street and Henry Street. On the south side tourist explore numerous attractions, museums and galleries.

Ptolemy, the famous astronomer and cartographer of ancient Greece, was the first person to ever make a reference to inhabitants in the Dublin area. The Dublin Airport (DUB) is the main gateway to Ireland and is located just 10 kilometres north from the city of Dublin. Arriving passengers can use local buses, coaches and taxis to get to the city.

Train Services
There are no direct trains from the airport but the Dublin Bus service connects the airport to Connolly and Heuston railway stations. Dublin’s light rail network (LUAS) stops at both Connolly and Heuston stations. read full article
