Munich Airport (MUC) is busy but well organized and it is easy to get to the city from the airport. The airport has two terminals, located just a short walk from each other. Between terminals 1 and 2 is the Central Area where many of the airport services and facilities can be found.

There are information services for arriving passengers in the Central Area (open 24 hours), in Terminal 1 and in Terminal 2. Arriving passengers can also make hotel reservations around the clock at the info desk in the Central Area, on Level 03. read full article

The German Christmas markets, an annual affair, open in the end of November and lasts until the end of 4-week long Advent. Choral music wafts through the nippy air of the winter until the last day of the market. A Christmas market, a street market originated in Germany, recreates the nativity scenes, and sells ornamentations for Christmas tree, traditional food, local arts and crafts, gifts and souvenirs, to name but a few.

The “Christmas Magic” Market (WeihnachtsZauber) on Gendarmenmarkt square in Berlin, one of the best Christmas markets in Berlin, showcases works of different genres such as stone and wood sculpture, carpentry, photography and painting. Visitors can watch artisans at work and buy handmade goods. It hosts fire swallowing, acrobatics, juggling, dance, and choral and classical music shows all 38 days to entertain the public. The market serves traditional cuisine, gourmet food, seasonal delicacies and exquisite snacks to reenergize visitors spent after browsing through the stalls. read full article

Berlin is a dream for devoted foodies. Above all, this culturally mixed city has an outstanding number of Asian restaurants to choose from, ranging from fresh Vietnamese to spicy Thai, to crisp Japanese and sweet-and-sour Chinese. After two immigration waves of Vietnamese, this nationality now makes up the second largest immigration group in Germany and around 10,000 live in Berlin. This is the reason why equally good and cheap Vietnamese food is so easy to come by.

A touristy, but well-deservedly loved favorite is Monsieur Vuong, the hyped restaurant on Alte Schönhauser Straße. The interior design is modern yet personal, the clientel is cool, but it is the amazing food which makes people cue on the streets for a much-coveted table on the sidewalk. Naturally, the hype has pushed up the prices a little, but all in all, Monsieur Vuong is well worth a few euros extra. read full article
