A naturist Andalusian village, where nude is the norm. It was the first official nudist resort on the Spanish mainland and is home to about 200 apartments. The village has its own private beach, a swimming pool, Jacuzzis and tennis courts. It’s set in a tropical garden of lush plants and palm trees. If you take your clothes off when you arrive, you need never see them again until you leave. Although some people do dress for dinner.

• Isolated Coves

Andalusia has a diverse coastline of more than 800 km. There are caves, crystal blue waters and volcanic cliffs. It’s interspersed by many isolated coves that are easy to get to by car. Some are officially naturist, others are not. But swimming and sunbathing naked is permitted on any beach in Spain.

To find your ideal isolated spot, hit the coastal roads and stop when you see one that takes your fancy.
