Vienna, the capital of Austria, is a paradise for all shopping addicts. Not only are there numerous brand shops in the city center, there are also many shopping malls. Some of them have a central location, but many of them are in Vienna’s surrounding. Explore the best options before you decide to go for your shopping trip. Don’t forget, all shopping malls in Austria are closed on Sundays.

Shopping City Süd

Shopping City Süd is 1 km long mall with more than 330 shops that offer not only clothes and shoes but also home equipment and electronic devices. Here you can find shops such as C&A, Esprit, Humanic, H&M, Ikea, Saturn or Peek&Cloppenburg. After shopping, go to one of 70 cafes and restaurants to have a small snack or lunch. This mall is definitely worth to visit. Be one of 25 million of visitors who come to this mall per year.

Donauzentrum + Donauplex

The shopping mall Donauzentrum was opened in 1975 and since that time it has grown to more than 100,000 m2 with 173 shops, cafes, restaurants and services. In 1999 Donauplex was built – an extension full of cinemas and restaurants and with a disco. Donauzentrum mit Donauplex has become a top location for shopping, meeting and fun. Here shopping addicts can explore new collections and sales at shops such as H&M, Pinkie, Xanaka, Mango and many more.

Vienna’s Gasometer is a complex of four 112-year-old gasometers converted into a shopping mall. Each gasometer is divided into several zones: apartments on the top, offices on the middle floors and entertainment and shopping on the ground floors. The project was completed between 1999 and 2001 and to date many concerts and other events have been hosted at the mall.

Though this small shopping mall has only 59 shops and 8 dining establishment, its central location makes it one of Vienna’s most frequented shopping destionations. If you are looking for high fashion brands like Aigner, Armani, Burberry, Calvin Klein or Dolce&Gabbana, you are in the right place. Ringstraßen-Galerien also host numerous events per year.

Millennium City

The most trendy shopping mall in Vienna is definitely Millenium City. This Lifestyle and Entertainment center was built in 1999 as the first „City-in-city“ project in Austria. Visitors can find all they need: shopping, entertainment, dining and wellness under one roof.
