And Mike, you're so right. There are plenty of great summer events and festivals in Turin, including the ongoing Traffic Festival which is a free music festival hosting both Italian and international artists (Underworld, Nick Cave, Primal Scream are some of the international bands that are playing this year). Sounds wonderful. Must visit Rome soon. Not been for over 10 years. There are many events in other Italian cities over the summer. I recently wrote an article about Turin which is one of Italy's hidden jewels. It was the first capital after unification in 1961. It has many events which are international. Nice article Claire.
