The Pargue Castle, one of the most important landmarks of the Czech Republic, is the largest castle complex (70,000 square meter area) in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its religious and secular buildings represent various styles of architecture, including Gothic, Renaissance and Roman.

Majestic Vladislav Hall, decorated with Gothic and Renaissance style elements, hosted banquets, coronation festivities, markets for luxurious and artistic goods and knight’s tournaments. Important state level ceremonial gatherings still take place here. Interior of All Saint’s Church can be viewed from the Vladislav Hall, but public can visit the church during concerts and religious ceremonies only.

The Royal Garden boasts exotic plants from different parts of the world and unique botanical specimens. This English-style park still exhibits earlier Baroque and Renaissance elements: ornamental flowerbeds and giardinetto.  The Lion Court, the Royal Summer House and the Ball Game Pavilion, built to entertain the nobility, are still stand tall within the garden.

Crown Jewels of Czech, a symbol of statehood, are stored in a chamber of St. Vitus Cathedral. The priceless array of jewels consists of St. Wenceslas Crown, the Royal Scepter, the Royal Apple, Coronation Cloak made from gold lily silk, a maniple, belt, ermine collar and stole. The golden apple, crown and scepter are embellished with precious stones. However, to catch a glimpse of these jewels, you have to wait for a special occasion when a public display will be arranged.

The Toy Museum boasts the second largest collection of toys of the world. The 2-storey museum exhibits old American and European tin and wooden toys, including trains, airplanes, cars and Barbie dolls. St. George’s Convent displays artwork of 19th century- sketches, architectural models, sculptures and paintings and decorative art- created in Bohemia. Prague Castle Picture Gallery exhibits paintings from the Rudolph II’s collection and works of Aachen, Rubens and Titian.

The Lobkowitz Palace commands spectacular views of the Old Town and the Lesser Town. The Royal Summer Palace, originally constructed for entertainment activities, is used for exhibiting creative craft and art. The Prague Castle Riding School with Baroque façade serves as an exhibition hall. Its garage roof unfolds views of the Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral. Stag Moat, the Brusnice stream’s ravine, was a breeding area for deer in the 17th century.
