Paris is a great clubbing city but it can be a bit pretentious not to mention pricey! Here are my top 5 Paris clubs that I go to, to have fun but where I can still wear my jeans!

In Paris most places charge in but it includes a ‘conso‘ which is basically a drink, which drink though depends on the place.
1. Queen – Champs Elysee
Queen opened as a Gay bar but is no longer as ‘queeny’ as first advertised. Ok this one is a bit fancy schmancy due to its location and its €20 entrance fee. But don’t worry its hard to get a Parisian to dress up unless they are models so even here you don’t need your designer duds here. Just usual clubbing gear. The music is brilliant and you are guaranteed to literally bop until you drop!
2. Les Quatre Vents – St Germain
On the other side of the river is Les Quatre Vents a private club that is open to us Joe Publics Thursday to Saturday. Its smaller and more intimate but again plays great floor fillers. It is renowned amongst locals for the place to go for an after work drink during the week but also stays open late on the weekends. Its also in a great location, lots of cool bars and restaurants around, so you will be spoiled for choice! I didn’t pay in once yet, so it seems to be free in but you never know!
3. Gibus – Republique
If hip hop is your thang then Gibus is your place. Its serious hip hop with people dressed up as a character from MTV Base. All mini skirts, baseball caps and sunglasses indoors! Girls tend to get in free before 12 or 1 but the doormen are those kind of ‘at our discretion’ dudes. Otherwise its €20 or you can buy a bottle for €150 for 4 people which gets you a table in the VIP area, a bottle of spirits and mixers. Works out best if you are 4 or more as drinks are pricey! The music can be monotonous but the best dancers in town are there on a Saturday night breaking it down at the front near the DJ box.
4. La Fleche D’Or – Paris 20th
This is a definite favourite of me and my girlies. The location is a bit crap as its a good 10 minute walk from the metro but its in an old railway station so the club itself is cool. It is free in, usually around €6 for a drink. Its open all night so the plan is usually to dance until the first metro at 5.30am! But check out the website first. The music is normally good but I got stuck there on a terrible night too. They usually have a live band first at weekends then a DJ.
5. Barrio Latino – Bastille
This super decadent club/bar/restaurant on 4 floors is owned by the George V group which also includes the famous Buddha Bar. This is a much more accessible club though in the party district of Bastille. There is tango and salsa on during the day and early evening on the weekends and then at night its a great club with a good Latino and normal dance music mix. Its the standard €20 in and they do great cocktails! Just bring your wallet!
If none of the above take your fancy but you fancy a boogie with your pint any of the Irish themed bars are a good bet. They are open late late late, there’s no cover and certainly no pretensions! Corcoran’s in Pigalle (Blvd de Clichy) would be my number one choice.
