Ah, Paris! Great ideas. My favourite part of Paris is just wandering through the streets. I try to find new ones and explore unknown-to-me neighbourhoods each time I go.

Visitors looking for free museums should visit the museums of the city of Paris (free all the time - except exhibits). Here are my favourites are Musée Carnavalet showcases a great overview of the history of Paris set in a splendid private mansion, the Petit Palais has an eclectic collection ranging from Roman statues to Impressionist paintings to reinstalled Art nouveau boutiques and lovers of modern art can enjoy the works of Picasso, Picabia and Giacometti and many others at the Modern Art Museum of Paris.
