I am sitting at the departure gate at Delhi airport having survived the most extraordinary route through an airport I’ve ever endured.
Don’t expect any signposts telling you where to go if you ever fly through here! It really is every man, woman and child for themselves. Having some how left the airport, I have now rechecked in – they didn’t understand how I already had a boarding pass! – and am awaiting my flight up to Kathmandu.
If anyone is considering coming to India I have to recommend Jet Airways – best flight I’ve ever taken. Brand new plane, left on time, arrived early, had an entire row to myself, menu for dinner, good wine, good curry, what more could a man want?! I suspect my next flight will be a little different – I’ve heard rumours of sharing your seat with a chicken etc!
