Brussels is one of the European cosmopolitan cities. If you like meeting new people from all around the world, the capital of Belgium is one of the best options. Brussels is very famous for its Red Light District, the area in the city that you should avoid, especially if you are young woman traveling alone.
Thanks to its history it has also a lot of things to offer even to tourists expecting a lot. After sightseeing during the day you might go for a dinner and afterwards to have a traditional Belgian beer in a pub or bar. For tourists who like to dance at discos, Brussels has to offer a lot, too.
Restaurants
When you are hungry after sightseeing all day or shopping, go to “Le pre sale”, “Exito 13″ or “Au fou Chantant”. There is always an evening program – during your dinner you can watch also a cabaret show.
Traditional pubs
At the “A la Morte Subite” you will find the best fruit beers in town. The history of this traditional pub goes back to 1910. One of the oldest pubs downtown is also “A la Becasse”. This pub located in the heart of Brussels city centre offers many home made and international beers. “Le Porte Noire” served since 16th century as the kitchen in a convent. In 1995, the abondoned place was converted into one of the most favorite beer and whiskey taverns.
Trendy bars
One of the trendy bars “L’Archiduc” located on a fashionable street has existed since 1937 and has a vivid history. It also hosts many concerts (mostly jazz evenings) especially in autumn and winter time. “Le Coq” is another place to be in Brussels – once upon a time it was a cafe, but nowadays it has converted into stylish bar with a trendy crowd. When you want to have a dinner in an old-style restaurant and bar, go to “Falsaff”. You will enjoy the atmosphere of late 19th century.
Disco
All dance floor lovers should head to “You Night Club” near Grand Place in the city centre. Another option is “Le Mirano”. If you like 60s, 70s and 80s music go to “Nostalgia Club”. All oldies lovers will definitely like it here!
