Japanese Restaurants in New Delhi

Aside from the local Indian dishes, you will be amazed at the wide range of international cuisines that can be found in the city of New Delhi, especially if your favorite is Japanese.  There are nearly two dozen restaurants in the city that serve Japanese food although most of them also serve Chinese and Thai cuisine as well.  In any event, they are all worth venturing into and sampling their menus.  The following are the ones that we have placed at the top of our list of Japanese restaurants in New Delhi that you should try.

Turquoise Cottage – features a variety of Asian, Chinese, Japanese, and Thai entrées while being one of the nightlife hot spots in the city.  Stag entries are not allowed so bring a date if you plan on dining here and enjoying the entertainment.  You’ll also find an extended happy hour that starts at 12:30 pm and lasts until 9:00 pm.  Credit cards are accepted and home delivery is also available.


Asia 7 – one of the nicer live music venues in the city that serves a variety of Asian, Chinese, and Japanese cuisine.  The restaurant is open 12 hours a day from noon until midnight with happy hour running from noon until 7:00 pm.  In addition to live music, outdoor seating is available and credit cards are accepted.


Megu Restaurant- One of the upscale Japanese restaurants in New Delhi, Megu or ‘Blessing’ is situated in Leela Kempenski and serves some of the best delicacies ranging from sumibi aburiyaki to sushi. The high quality authentic Japanese dishes are served with first class service, amidst customary Japanese interiors. While accompanying the lip-smacking dishes are a host of sake and sochu, imported from Japan.


The Kylin Experience – in addition to Japanese faire, you can also experience some of the better Asian, Chinese, Malaysian, or Thai dishes available anywhere in New Delhi.  Happy hour runs from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and the restaurant serves patrons from noon until midnight.  The restaurant also features live entertainment, outdoor dining, and WiFi internet connectivity.  Credit cards are accepted and home delivery is also available.


August Moon – open from 11:30 am until 11:30 pm, the August Moon serves a variety of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine.  The restaurant offers live music, outdoor seating, and WiFi internet.  Home delivery is also available and the restaurant accepts all major credit cards for payment.


Chi Pan Asian Kitchen – one of the better combination Asian, Chinese, Japanese, and Thai restaurants in New Delhi.  Open from 11:00 am until 11:00 pm daily, you can enjoy live music most evenings of the week and a happy hour that runs from 3:30 pm until 8:00 pm.  Credit cards are accepted and home delivery is also available.


Side Wok – Asian, Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine is featured on their expansive menu and you have a choice of dining in or having home delivery.  The restaurant is open from noon until midnight daily and live music plays every night of the week.  This is a more simple dining experience and credit cards are accepted for payment.

    Missing a great one – Tamura in Green Park. Authentic with mostly Jap customers.
