Billy Elliott, Victoria Palace
The award-winning musical set at the time of the 1980s miners’ strike and immortalised in the film of the same name, Billy Elliott is the inspiring tale of one boy’s fight against popular opinion as he strives to fulfil his passion and talent for ballet. Rousing music by Elton John and spectacular dance make this a remarkable show to remember.

Les Misérables, Queen’s Theatre

Adapted from the literary masterpiece by Victor Hugo, Boublil and Schönberg’s operetta recounts the nineteenth-century story of Jean Valjean, a French peasant, who commits to start a new life after his release from prison for a crime he did not commit. Despite becoming implicated in a failed attempt by a disgruntled band of students to start a revolution in Paris, his promise to rescue the daughter of a factory worker teaches him the real meaning of love and justice.
