Country Life – French and Western, Ovo and Vegan-friendly cuisine.  This restaurant and natural health food store is owned and operated by Seventh-Day Adventists so the restaurant and store are closed on Saturdays (their Sabbath) and Sundays.  The restaurant is open from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday while the health food store opens from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 9 am to 3 pm on Fridays.

Green Bear – café and coffeehouse with a menu that changes daily and includes French Lacto, Ovo, organic, and Vegan-friendly cuisine.  Just a precaution though, they do serve some meat dishes as well so watch for these as they are clearly marked on the menu.  The establishment accepts credit cards, features outdoor seating, and is wheelchair accessible.  Green Bear is open six days a week, Monday through Saturday from 9:30 am until 6:30 pm, and closed on Sundays.

Matiti – The African and Italian Vegan-friendly cuisine (some meat dishes on the menu).  They serve two dishes nightly – a fish and a Vegan entrée – with curries, fried sweet potatoes and plantains on the menu most nights as well.  The chef is from Africa which adds to the quality of the African dishes on the menu.  The restaurant is non-smoking only and is open Wednesday through Saturday nights.  Bring cash as they do not accept credit cards.

La Rocha – American and Lebanese Vegan-friendly cuisine (some meat dishes on menu).  With an excellent view of the Mediterranean, the outdoor seating on the restaurant’s terrace fills up quickly so get there a little earlier to eat your meal.  They are open seven days a week although the hours may fluctuate once in a while, so be sure to call ahead.

Biocoop Castellane – the only recognized Vegan-friendly health food store in Marseilles. They sell a broad range of deli foods, diapers, organic produce, personal care products, vitamins, and much, much more.
